I haven’t been able to attend an McCain event in my area, yet. They haven’t come down to Miami so far. But I did face the Goremongers during rallies/events for Bush.
I too got right back in their faces but instead of insults, I was throwing out fact (to liberals like sunlight to a vampire).
Difference is, these were not Gore campaign organized and supported protesters.
What is the difference between Obama organizing protests of McCain events and Chavez and his thugs?
If Obama is elected, will be be allowed to criticize the chosen one? Will papers be able to run reports and editorials critical of his administration? Will we have the right to assembly and to petition out government under “his” administration? It sure seems to me that Obama desires to do away with all of those rights the way he’s conducted his campaign.
We walked by them quite quickly. There was no time to shout facts as there is when you are standing on opposite corners. And trust me, they weren’t the type interested in facts anyway. Frankly, it was a perfect time to play the intimidation game right back with namecalling and shouts of John McCain. I loved it. : )
I just now had the opportunity to review the above video. Now, I don't know about where you live, but I suspect that most people's neighbors don't like it when people argue with them and get in their faces about whom to vote for. Many people don't care to discuss it at all. But if the subject DOES somehow arise, the better tactic would be to refer to those wonderful facts you were talking about Brytani, to persuade our brethren to join our side. I'm afraid most people won't realize what kind of man they voted into office until it's too late.
Get a load of Obama's supporters in the background of that video, they indeed look like thugs and brownshirts. THOSE are the kinds of people he attracts. THOSE are the people on HIS side. It says it all don't you think?
I love all your wonderful questions. We may be in for a really rocky road in the not to distant future. And I can definitely see Obama instituting emergency measures to curtail our freedom (many feared such would happen under Clinton) and thus the answer to all your questions could well be NO. I hope and pray not.
