The Western Hemisphere is defined as the half of the earth west of the prime meridian (0 degrees longitude), right? The majority of Spain is west of the prime meridian, placing it in the western hemisphere.

No, historically the Western hemisphere has been defined as The New World i.e. The Americas, which do not include Europe.
