Speaking to an Irish-American audience this morning, John McCain used his strongest language of the general election campaign to grab again the mantle of comprehensive immigration reform.
In Scranton, Pa., he vowed to push through a plan that offers a path to citizenship to illegal immigrants who pay fines and fulfill other requirements. "This nation is stronger for the infusion of fresh blood and vitality," McCain said.

Okay, we’ve got to elect him to get Sarah and IMO we DO WANT HER.
At the first sign of Amnesty we impeach HIM.
The Rats would go along no matter what the excuse and we can pressure elected Republicans to do it too. They know who got this team elected and it isn’t HIM.
We get Sarah, she picks a VP replacement and on we go.
So I’m curious according to you who are God’s children and who aren’t?
And when the day comes that Vice President Palin must go to the Senate to cast a tie breaking vote on an Immigration Bill, what way do you think V.P. Palin will vote?
“he also thinks hes got a chance in both California and . . .”
California??
Surely you jest.
It's a reference to McCain's infamous advertisement, hence the quote marks around the phrase.
Palin has locked up the base and McCain is now trolling the middle for votes. The Palin pick is allowing McCain to do this and they feel that it’s their path to victory. This is expected and should come as no surprise to anyone that is paying attention.
Guys, McCain has NEVER given up on his “comprehensive immigration reform” - he just agreed to build the fence, first.
While it remains to be seen if he actually follows up on that promise, no one can argue that Immigration NEEDS reform. Personally, I think they just need to make it easier and less hostile to legal immigrants, McCain has some other ideas.

I’m about ready to ask for my $100 donation back, which I held out until McCain chose a running mate.
Now I feel cheated.
Sorry, had you watched Sarah’s interview on Sean’s show, you would know that she has total autonomy to disagree with McCain on any issue... and she mentioned ANWAR. She said she would NEVER have taken the VP slot without that understanding.

...but there is NO way I’m going to vote for the ObaFascist in Waiting, or not vote.
Get more disgusted....McCain was the one who led the Gang of 14 a couple of years ago...preventing conservative judges from getting on, or advancing, on the federal bench.
Cant believe how people forget this...
I'm not overflowing with confidence, but I feel a lot better with McCain than Obama. And for all his softness on border issues, GW Bush did better with the Court than Gore and Kerry would have. With the SCOTUS lineup at 5-4, I'm of a mind to grasp any straw available.
“I cannot vote for this man”
I don’t like McCain’s immigration policy at all, but I think we should still vote for him, because he is MUCH better than the Obamanation. We can’t let Obama get elected. That would be a disaster and he would appoint hyper-liberal justices to the SCOTUS, thereby eliminating any possibility of the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the implementation of radical left-wing policies from the court.
Do you really want that to happen?
I am very anti-amnesty but don’t care what McCain says just so long as he gets in and keeps Hussein Obama out. I don’t think America can survive Hussein+A Democrat Congress
And when the day comes that V.P. Palin must cast a tie breaking vote in the Senate over ANWR drilling or Immigration Reform she will vote exactly the way that President McCain tells her to vote.

McCain's views on amnesty set a terrible example for us parents who try to teach our children to respect the laws. It is also a slap in the face of legal immigrants.
I also find it offensive how he dumped his sick wife and now would make the other woman First Lady, a woman with plenty of baggage, at a time when our young people need moral role models.
