Ive noticed that too...not sure what it means. Ive been looking at the poll results mid week and there seems to be a stronger trend there. One thing is puzzling is Obama is getting smaller and smaller crowds.

It would help if McCain/Palin got some help form some Republican Senators but we know what kind of spine they have.

The internet seriously wounded the MSM in the last presidential election cycle. This time around the stake will have been fully thrust through it’s heart.

The MSM is a “dead dinosaur walking”.

Good comments. I’m not certainly about the landslide thing yet but the fact that the McCain camp opened up 50 offices in California today has to say something about how they feel about their chances there.

There is one thing odd about the title of this piece. It said “uncharacteristic”. Well, okay. I think this is the wave of things to come. Obama is a loser, and it is really no wonder that an America hating, UN loving, Marxist, is not a big draw for voters.

This is their problem now at the rally’s:

1. No free transportation
2. No free food
3. No rock concert
4. Too cold

We just barely won this state for Al Gore in 2000 and we just barely won this state for John Kerry in 2004.

Without white women, Jews, and the elderly, looks like HUSSEIN will barely lose this time around

The turnout was low because his followers were lost trying to find Lambert Field........

Hmmm, 6,000 to see Obama, 60,000 to see Palin. And, she’s not even at the top of the ticket. I hope it’s because people are starting to see the real Obama, all talk and no action. I predict a landslide for McCain/Palin on Nov. 4.
I will be laughing when the MSM and Hollywood windbags have to eat their words. I was so excited during the 2004 election that I stayed up all night. It was such a pleasure to see the smile wiped off of Dan Rather’s face when he was told that the numbers were not in John Kerry’s favor. When I finally did get to sleep the next moring, I had a big smile on my face.

McCain/Palin’08

Because these polls are using registered voters from the primaries and Operation Chaos screwed up there old formulas . People lie to pollster when race is involved.
Finally many of these subcontractor polls are just garbage cooked up to suit the demands of such customers as CBS, ABC, Wash Compost, El Reuters, ONN ( aka CNN), NBC, The NY Slimes propaganda needs.

Yeah, it is the wave of things to come. ;)

“They are also doing constant polling and seeing demographic trends that we are only seeing bits and pieces of.”

Can you two FReepers explain this a bit more to me. For instance, what the trend is doing that makes the national polls different from the internal polls? Thanks.

The Obama campaign, which includes most of the news media; is panicking.
They feel that this election is not under their rightful control any more.
That is not acceptable to them.

The Obama campaign is beginning to STINK of desperation, and it’s VERY early for that. Did you notice this tidbit at the end of the article??

“We need all of you to take off election day to volunteer to get out the vote,” organizer Dan Phillips said. “Volunteer for at least one hour or spend four years regretting that you did not.”

This is usually the kind of stuff you see in the last few days, not weeks out. It bears the stench of PANIC....

It’s sad, watching pop stars on the way down. Let’s all hope that Odumbo doesn’t turn into another Michael Jackson. Just think what the surgeons could do with those ears.

McCain and Palin are in Media PA this evening. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it. I hope they have a great crowd. Tensions are high here in SE PA. I had to leave our after-service hospitality at church yesterday because I couldn’t stomach the bile coming from liberals aimed at Bush & Co over the bailout. They blame it all on the GOP. Obama has set up shop around the corner from me - blech.

Here’s what’s going on. Polls like Gallup have shown a big swing to Obama over the past week. The problem is, in the internals, McCain improved or held even on every single political category, so the only way to show Obama ahead is to drastically oversample Democrats. The internals showed something like a 40% Dem to 30% GOP political affiliation, which is way off from historical norms even as recently as 2006. I don’t remember which blog broke this down, but it the title had something to do with liberal “trolls.”

I’m sure it’s been said, but they’re probably still upset about the game. They’ll be excited again if Favre re-retires, only to join Obama as a running mate. He’s like a kid out there, campaigning with reckless abandon.
