The military stressed that this action was not politically motivated.

Ha!

The Russian fleet has moved out to Syria and the Caribbean Sea. Iran is very close to assembling an atomic device. Pakistan is now protecting AQ and allowing it to reconstitute in the north west. The governments of Israel and the US are about to change.

I see some storm clouds forming.

He recalled that in Soviet times a year to 70 thousand Soviet military seamen ashore in foreign ports around the globe

Yeah, one port in North Yemen and one port in South Yemen. They had to anchor-out in Med because nobody wanted them.

Perhaps they’re anticipating Cuba reverting to it’s pre-Castro American friendship once the old man is dead and are seeking an alternative base.

My take is that Russia is anticipating an Obamabiden victory in November, and Moscow intends to capitalize on what they expect to be American weakness and lack of resolve over the following four years.

We were eating at a Mexican food rest. Sunday morning. Some Spanish language TV program was playing a *Meet the press* type show. They were showing vids of Hugo and discussing Venezuala in a very serious manner for about 20 minutes.

Wonder if our neighbors to the
south know something’s up?

Chavez is a fool. The Russian fleet is more of a threat to itself and its hosts. If his intention is to intimidate his neighbors, he may scare them into the arms of his enemies.
