Renato de los Santos, a Latino leader in Dallas, called the survey's finding alarming and suggested that racial, ethnic or language profiling should be stopped unless it involves a terrorism suspect.

"It is the only way we as U.S. citizens should tolerate that," said Mr. de los Santos, a North Texas district director for the League of United Latin American Citizens. ________________________________________

It’s a start. The ratio should be reversed, though, and all those who are illegal should be immediately be deported, if not guilty of a violent crime.

One of my American Hispanic friends said that this is one of the reasons he supports strict border control. He doesn’t like being suspected but says it’s a minor inconvenience.

It’s just a deliberate blurring of the lines to garner sympathy for the illegals and play the race card.

I have yet to meet a LEGAL immigrant who I wasn’t glad to welcome to this country. Without fail, they have been wonderful, hardworking people of integrity who have made good contributions to society. We need more of them and you.
