Morning rodguy,

I see three culprits in the financial mess. Corporate, executive and congressional. Corporations are doing what they always do, anything to make their profits. The executive is hampered by too many people they cannot get rid of but still at fault for less than successful management of the agencies they head. And congress that refused to address these problems, and still don’t know what to do other than ask for more donations and pass favorable laws supporting those donors.

This is one main reason to support McCain/Palin. They may not be able to do more than prior executives in stopping the DC mentality, but at least they will try.

Good analysis,in all fairness (Mark did point out on his show Friday) that on several occasions GW and the adm. did try and head off what was a demorat inspired fiasco. It went something like this:

We must let our constituents(those who don't qualify for standard home loans) to have the loans anyway.

So Dem/rats broke all the rules that bankers had used for years and sooner rather than later we have lots of people who bought homes they could ill afford that should not have been there to begin with, not paying their mortgages and defaulting.

Do we now give all of them a pass or let banks foreclose, giving passes just brings us one step closer to Socialism which is where we are headed.

Let's hope McCain and Sarah can turn this lipsticked pig around and head it back to the barn where it belongs.

Also I think because of McCain Maverick reputation which many see as bipartisan personally that is more coincidence than fact IMHO. He will go with the side he agrees with rather than to be bipartisan but if viewed as bipartisan by the dems in Congress this could help and actually ensure that a few things that GWB tried but failed with actually happen.

I just hope the in the fullness of time the average person realises that the current President did try but due to unprecedented media attacks and what has morphed into BDS could never hope to achieve what he so desperately wanted to do and that was to change the tone in Washington.

Still drinkin' that '60s wine (whine?), eh?

It wasn't all that great a vintage then, and it surely hasn't aged well, what with the Reagan effect and all...

Corporations are just entities like any other, and only do what the people running them do.
If those people are crooks and slimewads, you get a crooked corporation.

OTOH, who's going to save you?

Government people like Eliot Spitzer?
