Susan Estrich Sounds Smitten With 'First Dude'

They say love conquers all and this might just be the case with Susan Estrich. The normally liberal columnist seems to be absolutely smitten with Todd Palin. Her recent column sounds more like a love note to him than a political analysis:

First Dude. That's what they call him in Alaska. It's OK. Todd's Ok. Whatever. He smiles at Greta Van Susteren. Not a touch of noblesse. More like plan old politesse. I always laugh a little when I see people who are very much not ordinary Americans in any respect (pay, fame, education or overall wealth, for starters) try to speak for them. "This is what ordinary Americans want," says someone whose only contact with them may be while his face is getting powdered for TV.

You can almost hear "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing" playing in the background as Susan continues to verbally ogle Todd:

She's in love, I tell ya! In love!

Does this mean I am going to have to stop referring to her as Susan Ostrich, she's taking her head out of the sand??

True....but there is a saying in Alaska....
“the odds are good, but the goods are odd”...

Hottie is really not a strong enough word for the First Dude!

He's like those super-spicy Cheetos, he's Flamin' Hot!!

You are added. FWIW, I spent some time in Pennsylvannia, long ago. I began school at Maxwell Elementary in Greensburg.

Then, I moved after the second grade. A long time ago.

***He was secure enough to marry a smart and ambitious girl, a girl he has always thought had great things in her.***

That’s exactly what came across in the Greta interview. The left wants to paint him as an Alaskan redneck, but after that interview they’re trying to say that HE makes the decisions FOR Sarah. My take on the interview is that he’s a hardworking man who has been happy in his own work, and has enough self-confidence to back up his wife in her work. Very rare combination. Fortunate are those married couples who have such faith in themselves and each other. They’re a great team.

Any red-blooded woman would have a crush on Todd! I love his strong quiet quality - a guy you know will take care of what’s his.

I always laugh a little when I see people who are very much not ordinary Americans in any respect (pay, fame, education or overall wealth, for starters) try to speak for them.

The first question that these folks ask themselves is whether you are, as drug dealers would say, on the game. If you aren't among the self-anointed "players" you don't really matter, you don't count, you can be ignored. Among their own, they extend professional courtesy, just like any other gangsters, until you become a problem, a liability. Then you are "expendable." In their minds, you are dead, and in reality they will do what it takes to make it so.
