If you put him in combat he will only be a liability to real soldiers.

Make him serve his full enlistment assigned to the most unpleasant, but non-mission critical, tasks.

I dunno - assign him to EOD and he'll have a real performance incentive.

Isn’t there a post to be walked in the Falklands with his name on it? How long is a British Army hitch?

Send him to Afghanistan but give him permanent Loo detail, especially the detail of burning the 100-liter petrol drums full of crap.

"If you put him in combat he will only be a liability to real soldiers."

He won't be a liability to real soldiers if he is manning the top over a mountain overlooking Pakistan. If he is still there is 3 months he can have some R&R.AWB

I disagree. I’d require him to serve his full term, but treat him as any other soldier. I’d bet he’d come out after 4 years with an entirely different attitude.

BTW, I believe lying about such things to get out of military service is a crime in the US, perjury or some such. Isn’t that the case in UK?

Presumably he also lied on his application.

The Falkland or South Georgia Islands would be a good start.

Cleaning the Porta-Johns at Camp Victory.

The Arabic ones.
