Barack Obama, who lamented Friday that “we have not managed our federal budget with any kind of discipline,” is nonetheless promising to spend $50 billion on a United Nations anti-poverty program that critics say will drive up American debt.

“The short-term weakness in the capital market is a reflection of long-term problems that we have in our economy,” Obama told reporters in Florida. “We have been loading up enormous amounts of debt.”

Oh, but he is all about helping the middle class. Yes, he is all about helping the middle class become the lower class.

I’d love to say, “Voodoo Economics makes a comeback!!”

-but given the circumstances, I am sure somebody would say that is racist. LOL.

We have got to stop all unnecessary spending! Much as households have to formulate a budget and stick to it, our country simply has got to stop spending money it doesn't have.

JUST SAY NO!!

I’ve been wondering about this for 7 years. Dems have been screaming about deficits. Like they would actually balance the budget?? At the same time they wail about not enough being done for the poor they complain government spends too much. I guess their solution is to have no Defense dept. and spend all of that on domestic programs. Yeah, that would work.

After his teleprompted speech, B.O. took questions and reverted to his popular “uh, uh, yooknowImeanm” style. When asked a question about the econoomy, he said, “I don’t want to get technical.”

I laughed out loud. It’s impossible for B.O. to get technical about economics.

The Federal Government is not going to have any money to spend on anything after this fiasco going on now in the finanacials. Whoever becomes President will indeed be known as the POTUS who reigned in spending. He’ll have no choice.

It seems the only area where he exercises discipline is on obtaining power.
