Campbell Brown had some nerve criticizing that Rothschild woman for being the elitist that her money might otherwise suggest. Brown was raised in a very wealthy family in Louisiana, much wealthier than the Rothschild woman’s family from New Jersey.
Great post.
the point is, virtually all of the talking heads on TV fail the adult test, i.e., they look in the mirror and a kid is staring back. This woman was treated them the way they need to be treated, put the focus on the motives and rationale of their questioning, as she did with Blitz as well.
This wasnt nearly as good as her interview with Blitz Wolfer. She made him look silly.
PWNED!
Part of what makes Campbell lose this match is that Lynn speaks in a lower and slower voice. Upper-class people speak slowly because they expect people to listen to them no matter how long it takes. She plows right along no matter how Campbell yips in her high-pitched lapdog voice. Lynn may not have been born n the middle class but she has certainly acquired its speech patterns and they serve her well.
Whether she is rich or not, the lady knows the value of a dollar.
Am I the only one who finds it funny that Barack Obama got called ‘elitist’ by someone named Lynn Forester de Rothschild?
ping for later read
Yes. And the rich and well-heeled do not expect to have to repeat themselves. Ever.
Even mainstream dems don’t like this type of treatment to a guest. There must be a specific reason why cammie seeks the attention of a fragmentary segment of the audience rather then treat the guest as an adult.
Rothschild should have said “Making a guilt by association argument because of my wealth is as valid as making the same argument with people who have criminals in their family.” (Brown’s dad is a convicted felon)
That would have been a great smackdown, which Brown deserves on several levels. She is the Keith Olberman of CNN. Rude, a blatant liar, a loudmouth, and an overall first class clymer.
Loved the posting. Great job and a thousand thanks for doing so.
We get a Lady and Obama gets a Lohan.
She’s great!
Is there a video of the Blitzer interview?
I’ve been around here a long time. I’ve come to notice that you seem to believe it’s your job here to look for duplicate or similar threads and pound the poster. Is it your job here?
While it’s good to remind folks that the search engine works now and again, I’m here to tell you it doesn’t always.
Often, obviously I see a thread and read it, I may not have seen the earlier one, no harm. Yes people should search for the title before posting but I have to say I see your name on nearly all of them, with not always a gentle reminder and most of the time it isn’t necessary.
Maybe John could put a search button on the posting page as a requirement before hitting the post button. Now there’s an idea that’s productive./rant
You may be missing Rothschild’s point.
Obama is elitist - he’s talking to 2 million Germans at a time in a bid to become (apparently) Holy Roman Emperor: he says he will cause the oceans to subside and so forth. He is fundamentally disconnected from a) America and b) Reality. Like Al Gore. Like Kerry.
Rothschild - for all her names, palings and heraldry - believes in an America where anyone can do as well as she has. Having a triple-barreled name isn’t elitist. Being rich isn’t elitist. Being mentally above the little people is what makes someone elitist.
She had to go to the UK to marry her billionare. And Europe to make her fortune.
