You, however, are making erroneous assumptions:
- sitting out this election was not a part of the original post.

When one inserts assumptions into a discussion it is because they have no factual basis with which to respond. Thus, one reverts to scare tactics based on assumptions. Which you did. Such scare tactics are for that purpose -- to scare. They add nothing to the facts of a discussion.
I don't trust McCain. Because he has a history. And because he is still advocating many of the same things he has advocated during the last 8 years:
- Factual: McCain actually wrote the bill that attacks the First Amendment. McCain still advocates outlawing 527s, for example.
- Factual: McCain actually wrote the bill that attacks the American culture by giving illegals amnesty. McCain has told La Raza and other Hispanic groups that he plans to push this through -- within his first 100 days.
