My dearest Freida you've hit a hot button!
Sorry about the wolf Hun, but I worry about terrorists killing GI's from helicopters more than a frickin' wolf!
These things in Alaska are pack predators and kill livestock, free running pets and humans if given a chance. They don't just kill for food but for feeding territory. They are more dangerous than bears. These thing look like your normal German Sheppards on film but in reality they are a lot bigger! Up to twice the size! And they live IN PACKS! If you see one, others are not too far away. Killing one them is often done as a warning to the rest that they are too close to humans for comfort... move your pack.
They were only endangered in the lower 48 (were all the people are). The reason the FWS put them back on the endangered species list was that the Yellowstone experiment failed miserably as the wolves territories expanded out of the park and started preying on cattle in neighboring areas. The farmers had to shoot them. I get very weary of the Endangered Species Act being used as a suicide pact to be tolerant of species that are a threat to public safety. My feeling toward wolves is the same as venomous snakes. Keep them far away from me and my children at all costs!
I love animals just as much as you do but I love people more. Capturing wolves live is very risky and it you need to rid yourself of one as a matter of defending your home you may not have time to call Jeff Corbin or the Dog Whisperer. Sorry if you are offended but you don't live there and you don't know why she killed it, she does... And she has my vote (NOBAMA cause I care more about people American people!). And you can tell Rodger Schlickeisen, Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund to SUCK IT!

mark for future reference - we’re bound to get this email sooner or later.
I heard this ad (ohio) and all I could think was ‘how can they be so desperate ... and stupid’?
I thought I was listening to greenpeace saving the whales or whatever it is that they do.
Surprised to hear it was greenpeace trying to save obama’s campaign - well maybe not greenpeace, but why would they think in Ohio we have a huge issue with wolf control? We have a huge issue with unemployment - maybe some of us should go to Alaska and shoot wolves.
That’s the ticket.
I had to address this with a friend a few days ago. I told her it’s simple...given the choice of feeding a human or shooting an animal, I go with the human, even though I am an animal lover. And I’d rather vote for two people who don’t oppose hunting than for two people who don’t oppose killing babies.
Sarah has never killed a wolf from a helicopter because it’s ILLEGAL. In fact, you cannot even hunt anything the same day you fly. What she did do was approve the recomendation of Fish and Game Department scientists to allow state F&G dept employees to hunt them from airplanes. Given the size of the state, and the range of wolves, it’s the only realistic way to control the population.
What state does your lib friend live in?
Tell her to go to the state’s Web site for the dept of wildlife and take a look at what’s hunted/trapped in that state. Maybe she should start complaining about her own state instead.
Pennsylvania for example:
Hunting:

Trapping:

The ravening liberal media wolf pack is even more dangerous than the Alaskan wolves. I think it should be legal to shoot them from helicopters.
We all love animals, but these people (DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE ACTION FUND, PITA etc) who think the world is coming to an end over hunting, are the very ones who are for late term abortions. That eliminates any good will I will reluctantly give them.
They place more value on salamanders or polar bears or even a tree, then human life.
WOW some shooting....
I don’t actually like the idea of Sarah Palin hunting wolves.
“Leave the dam’n wolves alone, Sarah. Plenty of other things to shoot in Alaska.”
Does your friend know that big bad wolves eat defenseless little bunnies and chipmunks for breakfast? Maybe you can enlighten her ;~)
Here’s the latest Alaska regulations on bear and wolf control:

(Why aren’t the libs upset about bears being hunted?)
Here’s the regulatory/political history of the wolf management controversy in Alaska. Notice that it was going on way before Palin was Gov.:

I thought that the story of people hunting from the air had been discredited and that if someone was capable of making such a shot, (s)he would make a very good sniper.
Wolves in Alaska? So what. I want to know if she can shoot some jack-a... er, donkeys in Washington.
Tomorrow’s MSM story: “Sarah involved in cat tossing”.
“Environmentalism” is the reason there’s no energy development in this country. Think about that the next time you fill up your tank.
