To show the empty "logic" that Jack Cafferty of CNN employs in his political commentary all one need do is check out his September 16 Political Ticker blog post on why the race for the White House is so tight in the polls. Reason: the country is filled with racists. Yes, folks, if you are voting against Obama (and no matter who or what you are actually supporting and why) it must be because you are a racist. It isn't because you stand against what Obama stands for, it has to be because you are a racist.
This delusional, preconceived notion is becoming the excuse du jour with Democrat supporters that have lately seen a dawning hint that McCain may just win this election. And, that is really all it is, too. An excuse. An excuse that ignores all the warts and obvious problems with Barack Obama, his record, and the fantasy stage show that is his campaign.
Here is what Cafferty posted...

If Jack Cafferty is so smart, why doesn’t he just buy short sleeve shirts?!
That’s just what I would expect a sexist to say. How do I know he’s a sexist? Well, he’s voting against Governor Palin and I don’t need any more evidence than that.
The only side that has been making an issue of race is the Democrats. They've been suggesting if Obama looses it's because of racism. Gov. Sebelius and Jack Cafferty are the latest to sound the "alert". This is a set-up.
Another Democrat dis-information tactic that occurred in the Detroit metro area in the past week that has made it to the nation news (Air America was all over it) is that a Macomb County official (Macomb is seen as key to winning Mich. due to Reagan Democrats) was supposed to have commented that votes coming from addresses of forclosed homes would not be counted. This has been shown to be a false story. Meanwhile, stories like the voter registration fraud that has been showing up all over the country with ACORN have gone largely unreported nationally. Much like the deafening silence on the Palin e-mail story.
Have incidents such as this Obama billboard defacing or threatening letters to Obama's campaign offices been reported in your area?
I wonder if Cafferty believes the Dem’s picked Obama over Hillary because they are sexists?
He must be back in the bottle again. He has a little history there.
Nobama IS going to lose to Palin/McCain...and this is why. Neal Boortz, out of Atlanta said that America will get tired of the race baiting and the race baiting will be the reason for the loss. He said this at least 6 months ago. even the hand wringing, white guilt voters will get fed up. They’ll vote McCain and say...”of course I voted Obama! What do you think I’m a racist”?!
How disappointed I am in myself for being a racist.
Geesh, I’m a creep!
Republicans should say that Blacks, who vote against McCain, are racists. If those Blacks complain, they’ll be accused of using a double-standard.
Gotta tell ya.........if I don’t want to vote for Obama, you can call me racist all you want.....I don’t care. Like I said before, if people don’t want to vote for a black man, especially this one, that is their right. They can feel any way they want about any one.....as long as they don’t act on those feelings to hurt some one.
Not voting for Palin, you are a sexist.
OK, that makes an interesting choice, a black Communist or an all American ticket. Tough choices.
Yeah, drink and drugs.
I didn’t vote for Kerry either—guess that makes me a long facist too.
I thought the “rule” was that blacks can’t be racists.
Just think, if Obama goes back up in the polls, we’ll no longer be a racist country.
This pantload Cafferty is the ultimate liberal - - a bitter, utterly humorless malcontent. Tough to watch.
He alone has got to cost CNN two points in the ratings.
This is easy.
I’m voting FOR Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin.
Not against anyone else. Maybe against Cynthia McKinney because she’s from Georgia and I already know more about her than I want to.
Does THAT make me a racist? She’s a real American black not a Nigerian black. So if you vote for Obama and don’t vote for McKinney, what kind of racist are you?
I’m not voting against anyone, really, I’m voting FOR someone.
And Michelle will once again be proud of her country.
