WASHINGTON - Nebraska Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel said his party's vice presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, lacks foreign policy experience and called it a "stretch" to say she's qualified to be president.
"She doesn't have any foreign policy credentials," Hagel said in an interview published Thursday by the Omaha World-Herald. "You get a passport for the first time in your life last year? I mean, I don't know what you can say. You can't say anything."

Bye, bye, you miserable slug...and don't let the doorknob hit you in the butt on your way out of the Senate.

She doesn’t have any real “foreign policy credentials”.
Neither does the guy Hagel is backing, Barack Obama, for President.
How does Hagel justify supporting Obama for President if he has to admit Obama has no foreign policy credentials.
Biden has “credentials”, and those are that he is wrong about just about every foreign policy he has had a say about. Biden has proven that he is dangerous.
McCain is the only one of the candidates who could seriously be said to have GOOD foreign policy “experience”.

Hagel is a Democrat in Republican clothing,
I thought he was a Democrat. Guess I got the Chucks mixed up...there are quite a few "Chucks" in Washington.

You don't call making a speech in front of thousands of screaming ultra-leftwing, hygienically challenged Euro-Trash "foreign policy credentials"?
What's the matter with you! :)

Can he be traded to the Dems, for, say, Lieberman? We’ll throw in Olympia Snowe and a couple draft picks.

I believe Hagel took some shrapnel to the head during the war. I remember him stating for the local paper (yes I live in NE) that Iraq was a mistake because we should only commit forces when we have a vital national interest. What percentage of the known oil reserves are in the gulf area? He also stated that we did not commit enough force to the war, and in the next breath was against the surge. Of course he thinks he's a Republican too, so it must be a serious brain injury. At least I can say I didn't live here when he was elected.

Ah but that is a catch 22.
If you say we had a vital interest and that vital interest was oil then the libs say “So we went to war over oil”. But if you don’t say anything about the oil they say, “So we had no vital interest”.
