Then it’s about time to quit referring to his race; and start thinking about jailing this crook. I don’t care if he is pink with green polka dots. He’s stealing just like who knows how many others.

We need to seriously get rid of these creeps; and if we don’t do it; no one else will.

He has been allowed to live like a king because he is black

You got that right PLUS he's a Democrat, too.

That car is in his Harlem Office Building's garage.

He only uses it while Congress is in recess and he's home and cruising Harlem for chicks.

Well hell, what did you expect him to do with his junk car? Put it up on blocks behind his house? Next to his satellite dish and basketball goal?

In addition to a late-model Cadillac DeVille that Rangel leases and the Mercedes in the House garage, state records show he also owns a 1989 Mercedes-Benz convertible, a 2001 Chrysler and a 1993 Ford.

Er. They couldn't bother to mention that WE lease that big ole car for him?!

From WCBS TV:

You may not realize it, but members of the House of Representatives can lease a car and have it paid for by you -- the taxpayer. And it's not just the car, but gas, registration, insurance … the works.

And as CBS 2 HD found out, there's no limit on how much they can spend.

Congressman Charles Rangel was recently seen getting out of his Cadillac DeVille, which he leases for $774 per month....

All those leases are picked up by taxpayers through a little-known program available only to members of the House of Representatives.

Rangel spoke to CBS 2 HD by phone about the seemingly extravagant expenses being racked up on the taxpayers' dime:

CBS 2 HD: "How would you answer those people who say, 'Well, but it's taxpayer money. Instead of $700 a month, could you find something for, say, $300 a month?'"

Rangel: "I could probably find something for ... one of those red cars and then I think my constituents would say, 'With all the money that he gets, this is the respect he shows us?'" [The GALL of the man!]

Earlier, Rangel released a statement, further addressing the issue.

"When I'm in New York, my car is my office. I use it to conduct Congressional business. It really pleases me that (my constituents) appreciate driving in a comfortable car, especially the senior citizens," Rangel said.

"The car isn't just a vehicle for getting around; it's an important part of doing my job and my constituents appreciate it."

Ya know, I'm beginning to thing Rangel honestly believes we'll buy into all his crapola. He really is that "out of touch", as his comrades like to say.

Rangel’s constituents DO buy his spittle. That’s how he and braindead fools like Maxine Waters keep getting re-elected! We have enclaves all over America that have been programmed to produce such stupidity. The democrap party depends upopn them for elections, just elections ... the modern slave class don’tchaknow.

UPDATE

PARKING VIOLATIONS LATEST TROUBLES ADDED TO CHARLES RANGEL'S RESUME - New York Post

TOW-NAILING CHARLIE 'PARKER'

BENZ HAULED OFF AS POLS BID TO TAKE HIS COMMITTEE SPOT

(edit)

Rangel refused to answer questions about the car, whose registration expired in 2004 and which has sat in the House garage, covered with a tarp and bearing no plates.

"I told you I am not discussing that," Rangel told The Post yesterday.

"I want to be kind and gentle - please let me be."

(edit)

"Neither Rangel nor his lawyer, Lanny Davis, would respond to questions about whether Rangel had declared the income, as required by the IRS."

(edit)

To All...  please see some excellent posts by FReeper ETL and others in this thread for some illustrations of the "kind and gentle" Charlie Rangel...I suppose it all makes sense if one views openly Communist organizations as "kind and gentle"
