Major tactical blunder. Socialism (R) is still Socialism.
And not voting for McCain would be a major tactical blunder on the part of people who think he's not conservative enough, because then Obama would win. That's why most conservatives are going to vote for him even if they have to hold their noses to do it. He's never going to please those people that hate him so much they'd let Obama win just so they didn't have to vote for him, and bending over backwards to try to win 100 of these people over is likely to cost him a 1000 votes from the broader America. McCain is not ultra-conservative. He never was and he never will be, and frankly that's one of the reasons he's enjoying as much support as he is in this time when people are so angry with Republicans, Bush and his administration in particular. McCain is playing the populist, and that's just what he needs to do if he wants to win this election. Stay home on election day. Write Duncan Hunter's name in or something stupid like that. See where that gets you. I'm going to try to get a Republican elected so we don't have Democrats controlling all three branches of government.
