And by the way, one of the biggest personal inspirations to me, John Mark Stallings, had down syndrome, so you are barking up the wrong tree here with me:

But hey, whatever makes you feel morally superior to the rest of us....go right ahead and say it, if it makes you feel bigger.

This goes to show you that evil has many faces.

..."A parent has a moral obligation to provide for his or her children until these children are equipped to provide for themselves," he contends. "Because a person afflicted with Down syndrome is only capable of being marginally productive (if at all) and requires constant care and supervision, unless a parent enjoys the wealth to provide for the lifetime of assistance that their child will require, they are essentially stranding the cost of their child's life upon others"

Hmmmmmm..."until these children are equipped to provide for themselves", ..."they are essentially stranding the cost of their child's life upon others" .. do these statements also include 2nd/3rd generation welfare recipients, 2nd/3rd general SS disability awardees? These entitlement recipients are certainly stranding the cost of their lives, their families upon others (i.e. taxpayers).

Amazing how these limousine elitists want to selectively foster their 'values' on us.

I’m sorry you are a liberaltarian.

But since you are, I can see why you state “it is none of our business....”

I’m sure that is the same line of BS that Germans were stating while fascists burned Jews in crematoriums.

Sounds like a rehash of the tired, old, discredited utilitarian worldview. Utilitarians love to espouse it, until it is used against them, i.e., YOU are useless (to me). Last I heard, Peter Singer didn't follow his own precepts and kill his mother when she was dying of Alzheimer’s.

What does anyone expect from a Randite?

Ayn Rand didn’t get America. She was an atheist reverse-Marxist.

Thank you for that stunningly beautiful testimony of your faith and your daughter's life. I've been here over a decade now and I can tell you with all sincerity, my FRiend, that is truly one of the greatest signature posts of moral clarity and love that I have ever seen. What a striking contrast it makes when light of the power and love of God overcomes the darkness of the culture of death! Thank you again for sharing your story.

Cordially,

A perfect example of why I left the party. I cannot stand the thought of being associated with a person like that in any way.

“Sarah’s a woman. A real woman.”

I understand, but she considers herself a feminist, in the real sense of the word, the constitutional sense of the word. When the founding Fathers wrote that “all men are created equal”, the REAL feminists just believe they include women also. There are two branches of feminism. The kind that wants to remove all differences between the sexes (especially the pregnancy “problem”, with abortion) and the kind that wants to celebrate all great things that come from femininity. She’s the second. The first has turned into a dirty word what ought not to be.

If you look at my dad in the photo, he's holding some copies of one of my daughter's poetry books. He had flown to a city not far from us, we drove to meet him. He was 79 at that time, still doing trade shows for an exotic metals company, ‘cause he's the greatest “people” man in industry.

I apologize for the lack of paragraphs. I wrote it with paragraphs — went back and tried to edit it when I noticed it was a big glob of words. But it would not change it no matter what I did. So I just hit the “Post” button.

We'd rejoice to see a good Christian man come our daughter's way. Her married . . . seems that that would really top it off. But that is in the Lord's hands, too.

Pray for her, please.

Well, in England, they say that people with Dementia have a DUTY to die!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2983652/Baroness-Warnock-Dementia-sufferers-may-have-a-duty-to-die.html

Soon, if these socialists get in power, they will be killing people for being disabled. Well, even with the Republicans in power that happened, didn’t it? Terri Schindler was killed by the government!

Now I know why I’m not a LIBERALtarian.

btw, I read the LIBERALtarian platform, and sadly, it is antilife.

A good enough reason not to be a Libertarian.

Think of the Constistution.

LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Life is first. Without life, we have nothing. Libertarians — take note and wise up.

A salute to you from a fellow vet of the USAF and of similar experience! For twenty six years, we, too, put up with the solemn condemnation of doctors who thought death was the answer. I hope you get a chance to peruse our Terri Dailies from time to time and you will find we are allied with you.

I don't waste much time on the librarians or liberalaryans or whatever they are called, when they shrug off "life" in favor of some "higher" goals.

Deo Gratias...
