"Her attendance was news to us," Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines said last night. "Clearly there was some miscommunication because this was never billed to us as a partisan political event. Sen. Clinton will therefore not be attending this event."

So, let me get this straight: People from both parties were invited to the event, but because someone from the other party will be attending you are refusing to attend and justify your decision to refuse to attend on the event being a "partisan political event"?

You mean a pro-Israel reception in NYC is a partisan political event? Who would have guessed

Hillary and Huma will stay home that night, maybe watch a movie, munch popcorn

I get it. When a Democrat gets invited it's NOT a "political event". When a Republican gets invited it's a "political event". Yep. I get it now.

She’s afraid of Palin, but she can be depended upon to protect Israel?

"...because this was never billed to us as a partisan political event."

Say what?

Having both there makes it non-partisan or at least bi-partisan. Her pulling out is partisan and gutless.

“..Sen. Hillary Clinton, who backed away from the event after learning Palin was coming.”

What does it take for Jews to finally realize that Hitlery’s apparent pro-Israel stance is merely empty talk.

What a moron! Its partisan no since Hillary won’t be there! If she were to go, it would be non-partisan as both parties would be represented.

“. . .it was never billed to us as a partisan political event.”

Well, maybe that’s because it wasn’t: it was supposed to be an American event opposing the lunatic Iranian semi-dictator, Holocaust-denier, and wannabe genocidal maniac. Now thanks to Sen. Clinton pulling out it may turn into a partisan political event, at least of all the other folks from her party pull out.

some miscommunication because this was never billed to us as a partisan political event

Hmmm... If both parties are in attendance represented equally, that would make it "bipartisan". By pulling out, she effectively "made" it partisan. This is a poor cover argument for someone who simply fears (my opinion) being upstaged in public. Personally, I think it would be good for Hillary to retain her female supporters by standing with Palin. But, then again, she may not *want* the support of "those" women.

Clearly there was some miscommunication because this was never billed to us as a partisan political event.

And having both parties represented by high profile figures would be partisan political how precisely? I just can't follow liberal logic sometimes.

Hillary was afraid she’d make a fool of herself by coming on to the Governor.

Um, Phil, sweetie. . .when they invite people from both parties it is called being NON-partisan.

What a maroon.
