Are those the same folks that are counting the days until Cubans are free? People tend to get the goobermints they deserve; or they grab the bull by the b@lls and shoot the b@stards currently in power.
Sorry, but Kim will be replaced by another “Great Leader” when he goes to his reward. Zerobama should be looking for a new gig about then.

My question is what will China do when the whole family croaks? Will they install another puppet government or will the allow the reunification of Korea?AWB

I don't think China would let N. Korea go to S. Korea easily. Unless China has bigger problems to worry about. for example, internal chaos.

I don’t know if China would let North Korea go that easily either, but North Korea is becoming a bigger and bigger financial burden for China and my thinking is China my want to relieve themselves of that burden. Dumping North Korea on South Korea pushes the financial burden on South Korea and America.AWB

In China's view, N. Korea has important strategic value which can't be abandoned because of its costly maintenance. They are not thrilled about N. Korea, but are loathe to let it go. This is a long-standing problem, which has prevented N. Korean problem from any satisfactory resolution.

If so, it is merely condign punishment for all of the misery Kim and his family have visited on North Korea.

China would feel boxed in if the Korean peninsula was freed as they would have Democracies in Japan, Taiwan, and Korea.
