( If Obama had Palin's resume and experience Obama would be qualified to be VP too.)

It removes one of the biggest, surest blocs of electoral votes from the McCain column. It disproportionately hurts McCain.

Texas is red, it is in the bag for McCain, Obama wasn’t going to get those electoral votes, anyway. Can McCain win without Texas’ EVs?

The chief benefit would deny McCain the TX electoral votes. When neither McCain nor Obama reach 270, the House of Representatives gets to decide. The lopsided majority of rats in the House will put Obama in the Oval Office.

how does this benefit Obama? Obama stands about the same chance of Barr of winning in Texas. If they both get DQed, Texas' electoral votes will not go to McCain. McCain has a bigger hill to climb to get to 270. It literally could throw the election into the House of Representatives.
