So she’s supposed to run and hide because the media is mean?!

If you can’t face a wussy enemy like Katie Couric you’re not fit for office, any office.

If you can’t articulate why you and your running mate should win then you should’nt be running.

I think Palin will be just fine.

As stated earlier, I hope the ground rules include the Palin team have their own taping equipment running as CBS interview is conducted.

She’ll do fine. Couric will look like a bully if she attacks. Palin is a sharp cookie, no worries.

Did they NOT LEARN from the Gibson debacle?

Two things here:

1) It wasn't a 'debacle'.

and

2) I don't think Sara is incapable of learning.

It’s the only way Katie can get her ratings up.

Why in the hell are they doing this? Palin shouldn’t give those clowns the time of day, considering the treatment she has received by them. Palin should stick to friendlier media, and that’s all! You never see Obama or other major libs going on Fox.

Only harm can be done by this.

More to the point, did the Perky one learn anything from the Gibson debacle?

“I agree.. I don’t see that she has a choice.. she has to continue to do interviews...”

I don’t like these two day exclusive interviews. Break them up in 15 minute increments with multiple reporters.

It gives Couric the ratings she frantically needs. I predict she will give Palin a fair shake...not because she’s seen any light at all but to distinguish herself from Charlie Franklin and to persuade long lost viewers that CBS can be balanced (absurd and delusional as that is).

Just wow. Did they NOT LEARN from the Gibson debacle?

They learned that Governor Palin can go into the lion's den and hold her own. Independents and even liberals are going to notice that, when asked hard questions, she answered them. Back in 1993 when I was liberal I saw Rush Limbaugh on the Phil Donahue program. I did not agree with his answers to questions, but I was amazed that he actually had answers; his performance on that program (which was loaded with liberals) impressed me far more than anything he ever did on his own television program.

Look at it this way: if Sarah Palin goes on a conservative talk show, liberals and independents aren't going to watch. But if she goes on a liberal show, the liberals and independents will tune in so they can gleefully watch her get ripped to shreds. If she holds her own, she'll put her message before those people who would not have watched her any other way.
