Palin Outlines Four-Point Focus In McCain Administration
(GOLDEN, COLO.) - For the first time since joining the Republican ticket, Sarah Palin outlined the issues she would focus on in a John McCain administration.
John and I have worked out a planwhat I want to concentrate on and what he would like to kind of tap into me to help with, Palin said at a rally in front of a few thousand people here. My mission is going to energy security and government reform. And another thing near and dear to my heart, its going to be helping families who have special needs and children with special needs. And were going to be pushing for innovative cures for diseases.
Palin has appeared in a string of large rallies since being named McCains running mate, and for the most part, she has doggedly stuck to her script. But in Mondays Colorado appearance, she offered a host of new remarks, including a fresh line of attack against Barack Obama.
Our opponent wants to raise income taxes and raise payroll tax and raise investment income taxes and raise business taxes and raise the death tax, Palin said.

Does anyone know how many people were at this rally?
Notice how she refers to Senator McCain.
The Republican candidates are affectionately called JOHN and SARAH.
T-Shirts anyone?
Hummmm......I wonder what McCain’s points are. If they could get a simple message out there, they’d probably pick up lots of attention if they can get that message out. I think back to Ronald Reagan’s objectives—very simple. Simplicity is best and usually gets the most attention.
This is superb.
THIS:
“My mission is going to energy security and government reform. And another thing near and dear to my heart, its going to be helping families who have special needs and children with special needs. And were going to be pushing for innovative cures for diseases.”
is how the first woman GOP VP nominee wins independent moderate women voters. It is a very specific focus on matters where she has clear credentials and therefore is not pandering.
And it importantly keeps her away from red meat rightward pushing issues that would play into the Obama campaign’s hands.
In comparison to Biden who has... what, talked about how bad choice he is?
Denver 9news.com is reporting “about 5,000”.
Which probably means closer to 7,000.
Obama will be at the same venue and only gave away 3,000 to 4,000 tickets for Tuesday.
“government reform.’
That’s a large chunk to bite off there!
Am I missing something? This article says they have a four point plan, but only mentions Palin’s two major issues: reform and energy.
What issues are McCain taking? I would assume they are security and the economy, but it’s not real clear from the article.
This is great, considering she is a veep canidate and she’s drawing as much as Obama.
LOL! Fox News was just starting to show Obama Live in Colorado, then cut away to present Treasury Secretary Paulson holding a press conference on the banking crisis. I switched to CNN, they still had Obama on. MSNBC has Paulson on.
In a “few thousand people” SeeBS makes sure to put in the spin word “few.” Makes it sound like she was talking to a handful at the street corner waiting to cross with the light. Instead, I’ll bet it was a packed house, charged and energized.
Of course, that’s not the talking point the msm wants to push.
“And were going to be pushing for innovative cures for diseases”
I hope this includes the CAM approach (complimentary alternative medicine), which is kept out of public awareness by orthodox medicines media domination.
I think the four focuses are:
1) Energy Independence
2) Reforming Government
3) Helping families with special needs children
4) Finding cures for diseases
For the MSM, the use of a “few thousand” for Rep rallies is between 8,000 and 23,000.
Campaign officials said about 5,000 people attended the rally, held in the cavernous, dirt-floored Westernaires Arena. Supporters were packed tightly together in the arena, making independent crowd size estimates difficult at the event, which came just days after a news report raised questions about whether the McCain campaign is inflating its crowd size figures.
She also said children with special needs and innovative disease research.
And THAT will be reported as 30,000 to 40,000.
