Does anyone know how many people were at this rally?
This is superb.
THIS:
“My mission is going to energy security and government reform. And another thing near and dear to my heart, its going to be helping families who have special needs and children with special needs. And were going to be pushing for innovative cures for diseases.”
is how the first woman GOP VP nominee wins independent moderate women voters. It is a very specific focus on matters where she has clear credentials and therefore is not pandering.
And it importantly keeps her away from red meat rightward pushing issues that would play into the Obama campaign’s hands.
Denver 9news.com is reporting “about 5,000”.
Which probably means closer to 7,000.
Obama will be at the same venue and only gave away 3,000 to 4,000 tickets for Tuesday.
In a “few thousand people” SeeBS makes sure to put in the spin word “few.” Makes it sound like she was talking to a handful at the street corner waiting to cross with the light. Instead, I’ll bet it was a packed house, charged and energized.
Of course, that’s not the talking point the msm wants to push.
For the MSM, the use of a “few thousand” for Rep rallies is between 8,000 and 23,000.
Campaign officials said about 5,000 people attended the rally, held in the cavernous, dirt-floored Westernaires Arena. Supporters were packed tightly together in the arena, making independent crowd size estimates difficult at the event, which came just days after a news report raised questions about whether the McCain campaign is inflating its crowd size figures.
