Todays Survey USA poll has Obama up 5%. See the RCP website.
4%. Obama 50, McCain 46.
To: Taiku
Survey USA today 9/15 shows Obama up by 4.... I looked at this poll and it has some very strange internals. They don't list the party breakdowns, but they show McCain tied among men, and only leading by 1 for voters over 50. It also shows no movement of women to McCain.
Unless we start seeing other polls with the same internals, I am pretty comfortable viewing this poll as an outlier, especially without further information on party identification distribution.

I was hoping to have it closer than this as I’d like for B. Hussein Obama to waste his money in VA.
Good thing about it not being close is Gilmore can use the help.

The polls are everywhere. Especially at this time pollsters are trying their earnist to out do each other! Please don't panic until mid Oct when we'll know WHO will end up on top. GOD GRANT McPal favor with the American voters.

That’s what I figured—same multitasking here!

I’m fairly confident you are correct. It’s just the black turnout factor that scares me a bit. How else did they get Douglas Wilder elected back in the 90s?
To: snarkytart
I told yall that VA is not going to McCain.Snarkytart either misunderstood the article or committed a typo.
As for these polls, they are another sign that McCain-Palin definitely have the momentum. As long as they don't make a major mistake, they should have a thoroughly happy January 20.

McCain down 4 in VA is no more believable than the other poll out today showing Obama up by only 5 in the State of New York.

Obama will, no doubt, receive a copy of all the questions well in advance of any debate -—— just as he was allowed to listen to all the questions, AND John McCain’s answers at Saddleback.

What actually is the real deal: McCain is leading or what? All I am hearing is that it is a very close race but then you hear alternative news that states otherwise and the on the ground feedback that there is serious-buyers remorse about the empty suit. What exactly is the real story?/Just Asking - seoul62......
