Its time for the Republicans to use this as a campaign issue.

Obviously, in Pelosi’s world, “ethics” only apply to Republicans.

Maybe Charlie should just re-write the code to suit himself.

Ha, ha, Rangel hired a forensics accounting expert? First the guy had to sign a form agreeing to disable his “ethics-ometer”.

For 20 years Rangel never reported rental income. And he calls it an error of omission.

It’s known as income tax evasion in the US Code, a felony. But to Rangel, and his flunkies in the press it’s an error of omission. Of course, to the average taxpayer...

He’ll skate.

Despite Republican calls for Rangel to be stripped of his Ways and Means Committee chairmanship, a spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told CBS 2 HD it is not going to happen.

Uhh, Nancy. Didn't you promise that you'd lead the most ethical Congress ever and rid it of anyone who would compromise Congressional integrity? Here's your chance, you lying POS.

Rangel's lawyer, Lanny Davis, said the move shows Rangel "has nothing to hide and does not believe he has done anything intentionally wrong."

Good Ol' Lanny Davis to the rescue.

Stevens gets a raid; Rangel gets a new accountant and Lanny Davis. What gives? Does Bush still have any sway at justice, or did the Dems take that over, too?

Yes. We should stop calling for Pelosi to act. Instead, the RNCC should start running ads in EVERY contested district, about the new “culture of corruption”.

Include EVERYTHING. Rangel’s problems should be on top. But also Jefferson. And Murtha with is “top ranking” in sleaze.

And don’t forget the guy who WAS forced from his leadership position last year (See, I forgot his name, think it started with an “M”, but not sure).

Include Schumer taking down a bank with his comments as well.

Include millions of dollars from collapsed businesses Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac.

We could gain house seats this election. Let’s make sure people remember why they threw us out, and realise that the democrats have done nothing to make it better.

That way, when we bang the “drill here” drum, people will already be predisposed to go back on their 2006 choices.

Keep it up, Pelosi! This is exactly what is going to help to defeat your party in Congress on Nov. 4!

Too bad this article doesn’t mention that Rangel withdrew his petition for divorce the other day from his wife of 42 years. Interesting, since he’d been putting the blame on her for the tax snafu on his Dominican villa. Mark Levin suggests he withdrew the petition because a wife can’t be forced to testify against her husband.

If your representative and/or senators are Republican, take a minute to forward this CBS article to them and tell them how outraged you are at politics as usual in Washington D.C. and would like them to make a campaign issue of it. A barrage of emails about this might make them understand how many of their constituents are fed up with the Democrats.
