The problem with Chase, like many others in entertainment, is that he is only modestly talented. Some of his movies (Natlampoon Vacation) had funny parts, but even in that movie, I remember Randy Quaid’s twisted character better than Chase’s. He was never that good in the original SNL, and I was quite glad when he left the show. Bill Murray is far funnier and has made much better films...a few dogs here and there...but better than Chase’s.

Did you post this because he was a total a-hole about Palin this morning? Him and his snotty wife appeared on Morning Joe and spent most of their time trash talking Governor Palin. Joe laughed it off.

Joe has turned into such a wuss. His co-anchor sits there and makes faces like she is selling hand cream on HSN and he lets all comments about republicans go unchecked.

Yes ..that’s why I posted it. Consider the source, etc.
I think Chase is just trying to ingratiate himself with Hollywood.

Ummmm, that wasn’t my post. I was quoting user “LS”.

I told him he required sarcasm. You may want to try this site:

Well if anyone has never seen it, Stephen Colbert really killed it here . It's just amazingly harsh.

What a shallow and empty man, and a hypocrite by his own admission

Now he’s confined to his memories and regrets and can’t get the one thing he desires most

Maybe he shoulda thought of that on the way up

“What a shallow and empty man, and a hypocrite by his own admission”

Well said. We should do what we can to impoverish and ruin him. It would not bother me to read that Chase was pleading for help just before he died, but was ignored by passer bys. He was robbed, stripped and his body mutilated after lying in the gutter for 36 hours. Finally a homeless man set him on fire as an act of mercy.

That's not what I had in mind.

The part of my post that I left off is that if ever there was someone who needed to read and understand the Bible, he is one.

It's not too late.

Chevy Chase was funny in the ‘80s, as simple as that. He didn’t age well, IMHO.

All things considered, Gilda Radner was the best.

Gilda Radner was the best.

Agreed.

Loved her "Gilda Live" show. "Let's Talk Dirty to the Animals" was a classic.
