Am I being too sensitive, or were those words unnecessary and rude?

No you are not. They just cannot find their footing with the Palin phenomenon. So they keep blowing it. I think they would do well to get off this "I'll treat her just as badly as any Republican guy" and...on second thought, I don't want to tell them how they should handle this situation. Let them figure it out.

Rudy's been terrific since he was knocked out of the primaries.

Go figure.

Wallace asks Rove what he would tell Obama to do to turn it around.

%%%%%

Has anyone in their personal history of watching political talk shows ever heard a host ask a guest “what advice would you give the Republican campaign to help them win?”

FNC has been lying to us. They’ve been promoting “Chris Wallace and Sarah Palin” all weekend. I guess they said “Chris Wallace ON Sarah Palin” not “AND Sarah Palin”. Bummer, and I missed early church just to see it.

I know I said I was leaving, but I just had to post this from yesterday regarding New Hampshire:

Zogby: New Hampshire McCain-49.1% Obama-42.8%

I know, I know, it's Zogby. But still, New Hampshire is showing trend to McCain, just like everywhere. So let's not write off any former red state just yet.

I think McCain will get every Bush red state except Iowa, and Penns, Mich, and yes, Wash State (due ot Gregiore/Rossi) are all in serious play.

Obama will lose. I sense it. It's in the air somehow.

Yes, panel is talking about the interview now.

Hume: She did fine; Charlie looked unflattering and blames Charlie’s research team for the bad questions. Hume says “In what respect” was a fair retort from Palin given the “Bush Doctrine” does indeed have several aspects. Brit says Palin really has changed the race and there is a backfire on the media for the Palin attacks.

Wallace: Brings up SNL skit and Tina Fey did a good job in representing her (looks anyway).

Liasson: Palin is having an incredible factor on the race. She has awakened the sleeping giant of moms — all moms, hockey moms, stay-at-home moms, etc. Liasson says that the women she has talked to are really excited about Palin.

Kristol: Obama/Biden want to get back to the issues now and realize they made a mistake with Obama engaging Palin. The media is really going after Palin and its backfiring. He laughs at the media reporting on Palin.

Williams: The media is doing a good job and puncturing the image of Palin that the McCain camp has put forth. He talks about the Gibson question about her experience and says she is humble enough. He thinks its beyond credulity that Palin is ready to be VP.

Hume: Argues with Williams about what she said about Isreal.

Kristol tells Williams to go jump in a lake (my words not his).

Williams says he is not here to condemn Palin, but lets be realistic and Palin is not ready to be VP or Pres.

Hume: But what about Obama, he has no experience and no achievement to Williams — Juan says its like a chess game and it was a mistake for Obama to engage Palin, but Obama has run an extraodinary campaign. Brit says thats true.

Woodward is going to have a hard time convincing people that the President couldn’t decide what to do about the war.

Juan Williams just set a new personal best for his own ignorance of reality this morning.

He faulted SP for not showing humility whan asked if she was ready for her new gig.

FNS

Wallace:”Can the Democrats counter Palin [celebrity]...”

Wallace apparently forgets the MSM have been wallowing in Obama celebrity for the last year. Palin has been a ‘celebrity’ for just under 2 weeks.

Mara L hints that Palin might return to obscurity.

[Not very likely, Mara, at least not until after the Nov election. If McCain-Palin lose, then, Palin could fall out of the spotlight — but right now, the Pubbies don’t really have any other ‘national’ personality. She could be back in 2012 as the top of the ticket.]

That has just got to strike fear in their black and evil hearts.

“I mean, now THAT’s series journalism.”

How did the “series” and “hugh” spellings originate on Free Republic?

From: The 2008 FreeRepublic Lexicon

Series - misspelling of serious posted on a thread by an excited FReeper.

Hugh - misspelling of huge posted on a thread by an excited FReeper. See: Air Force imagery confirms Columbia wing damaged (sorry, leadpenny, LexBaird found the post).

Snoq - misspelling of Tony Snow (a fellow freeper) that stuck after it was posted on a daily thread headline. RIP Tony, thanks for everything.

Obama can’t win the election losing among white women and men. They still, at least for now, represent the majority of the electorate.

None of the rats really represent change, just the same ol’ same ol’. One issue that I am hoping comes up this morning it the house “pretense” at a drilling bill, it’s here.

http://www.FreeRepublic.com/focus/f-news/2080285/posts

If you will note one of the House intended mandates is no drilling in the Eastern Gulf until 2022. I thought that was kinda strange until I started to think about what is really going on here.

I am sure the excuse is to placate enviros, rinos, and others who keep using the “we might spill oil excuse” not to drill anywhere where the oil is. But what is really going on here is far more sinister IMHO. Those of us who fish in the near Gulf especially in places like offshore of Cape Sable, realize that the ocean bottom terrain is different from many places that may hold oil. In this area the drop-of is approximately one foot per mile. In other words travel 40 miles out ino the Gulf in this areas, and you are in 40 feet of water.

This is key since drilling in shallow water is not important its everything!! When you drill shallow it all happens much faster than say 7,000 or 8,000 feet of water.

Exploratory wells, getting there and back everything, can happen at warp speed compared to Anwar or deep water. In 2- 2 1/2 years oil is being delivered to refineries not the normal 8-10 years we hear bandided about by the no-drill libs. This changes the entire equation!

All of a sudden we have a shot at solving our energy crisis and doing away with the people who hate us. In other words we may not need the dems anymore, Harry Reed, Nancy Piglosi, Murtha all the other power brokers lose a lot of influence if the energy crisis we are now in depending on Hugo Chavez and other idiots is solved or on the way to being solved. Guess what they don’t want this.
If we don’t need them they lose power,no more cradle to grave ask big govt. for every solution it destroys socialism/communism or at the very least takes away another issue they can use to make us kneel before their socialist alter.
IMHO this is what is going on with the no drilling until 2022. And it stinks.

Woodward is going to have a hard time convincing people that the President couldn’t decide what to do about the war.

I think he just reinforced the fact of how decisive Bush has been on the war....I think I heard correctly that Bush went against Rumsfeld and Casey on the surge.

ABC Obamedia battering McCain for the commercial about Obama’s sex education in Kindergarten.

They’re pushing his line about being only about avoiding sexual predators.

Totally ignoring what Sean Hannity has brought out out — that it was about (paraphrased):

— “It feels good to touch yourself in your pubic area.”

— “Marstubation should be done in private.” (Should be done? Should be done! To Kindergartners!)

— “Some people of the same sex love each other sexually.”

Obama, “It’s the right thing to do.”
