Another Charlie Gibson “fact” bites the dust.

Now I’m wondering about his claim that in Clinton’s term 22 million jobs were added to the economy, while Bush added only 5 million.

Good point, but count on Obama and Gibson to spend no more than 2 seconds on background research! They're idiots!

Palin should handle the bridge situation the following way.

“While I was a candidate for Governor, I was not privy, as no candidate is, to the full scope of information pertaining to the bridge project. As a Chief Executive, I always want what is best for the tax payers of Alaska and base my decisions with the people in mind. My original support for the project was tentative and subject to change based on the projects benefit to Alaska.

“Once I became Governor, I did as any responsible chief executive should. My staff and I gathered an ad hoc committee to study the pro's and con's of the bridge project. Their final report clearly showed the benefits of the bridge was limited and would clearly not benefit the people of Alaska. With all facts in hand, my original tentative position changed and I told congress “Thanks but no thanks." Something Sen. Biden nor Sen. Obama can say."

Too wordy! Palin should handle it this way:

Congress didn't kill the Bridge to Nowhere. As a matter of fact, in November 2005 Congress wrote the final version of legislation to allow Alaska to spend federal money for the bridge or on other surface transportation projects as of 2006. As Alaska's governor, I submitted a budget on January 17th, 2007 without funding for the bridge. I spent the money on other transportation projects. My responsibility. My choice. My decision. Those who think otherwise, well, I have a bridge to sell to them.

The current Rat spin (as seen on this morning’s FNS) is that there are TWO bridges and though she opposed the one in Ketchican, she still supports the one in Anchorage that would benefit her area of the state.

Typical Rat strategy: If you don’t have the winning hand, change the rules.
