The MSM just think McCain chose her to attract Hillary supporters. She is a woman, and Hillary is a woman, therefore McCain must be trying to get woman voters. They just don't think deeper than that.

Other polls seem to confirm that Palin's real allure is in her ability to unite the GOP's conservative base, male and female.

It's funny how we told them why we like her, and they don't believe it. Then when the polling data shows them, they still have a hard time accepting it.

Almost every normal woman is better looking than most radical “feminist leaders”. What particularly irks them about Palin is that she is so much more accomplished than any of them. She has a family (rather than aborting her children to further her career) — and she already has one of the top political jobs in the country. Do I really want to be on the side of men that backed Hillary? Is there something about Palin I should know?

62% of men have a favorable opinion of Palin - nine points higher than women.

That works out to about 58% of people in general.

79% of conservatives have a favorable impression of Palin, a figure that drops to 43% among moderates.

So the conservatives who were iffy about McCain are on board, along with a fair number of cross-over Democrats. The folks who don't like her likely weren't going to vote McCain anyway.

We might be looking at a landslide.

I don't know how they decided who was conservative, moderate, or liberal. If they used self selection then so called moderates will be predominately Democratic because Americans are more comfortable identifying themselves as conservative rather than liberal.
