Not surprising at all. It is actually well known that many women do not like women that are better looking than themselves; it makes them feel insecure.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Other polls seem to confirm that Palin's real allure is in her ability to unite the GOP's conservative base, male and female.
It's funny how we told them why we like her, and they don't believe it. Then when the polling data shows them, they still have a hard time accepting it.
My husband said all the democrat old men at the barber shop last week were praising Sarah Palin, and will be voting for the McCAin-Palin ticket.
And probably me and 99% of other men, real men, not girly men, or “metrosexuals”think Sarah Palin is also a babe!
All my lady friends as well as myself intend to vote for Sarah. She’s awesome and a breath of fresh air compared to the Messiah who represents a breath of sewer.
One Rasmussen Survey found that 79% of conservatives have a favorable impression of PalinWhat is it that the alleged 21% (if it really exists) doesn't like?
This topic seems to be true in PENN
According to Left Winger Zogby:
McCain 49
Obama 44
Do I really want to be on the side of men that backed Hillary? Is there something about Palin I should know?
That works out to about 58% of people in general.
79% of conservatives have a favorable impression of Palin, a figure that drops to 43% among moderates.
So the conservatives who were iffy about McCain are on board, along with a fair number of cross-over Democrats. The folks who don't like her likely weren't going to vote McCain anyway.
We might be looking at a landslide.
“McCain’s veep pick is attracting men who backed Hillary “
Its the Reverend Wright factor.
These subpoena's of Todd Palin are being dished out by a Alaska State Senator and Obama supporter , Hollis French.
French needs to be discredited and nailed by the RNC.
We have the Bradley Effect, they have the Media.
Liberals who voted Hillary..
See a talented woman who can lead and LOOKS like A WOMAN!
Who is the HOT woman over there? WHo? OH McCains VP pick GOv. PALIN. WOW REALLY?? MAN Where have I been? I thougth to be tough and strong you didn’t shave and wore bad pant suites.
The beautiful thing is the vast majority of the remaining undecided voters fall into this category as well.
If they simply break even, we keep our lead. If they split in favor of McPalin, which seems likely, we could be looking at a comfortable victory.
At this point, I think we are still looking at a close election, but if things break just right, 350+ EVs are not out of the question.
What is disgusting is that segment of women that have always yapped about empowering this, empowering that, equal pay for equal work, yakyakyakyak and then when an honest-to-God qualified woman candidate emerges, then we see them jumping OFF the wagon like fleas being hit with Raid(tm).
Typical snarky crap. Well ladies, Gov. Palin is showing this old man something about leadership too and I’m sure a lot of other men as well and I have no problem with pulling that lever (actually in our small rural area, penciling in the box on paper ballots) for McCain/Palin and for the sake of my seven grandDAUGHTERS, grandpa is going to show them that he too walks the walk, not just yaps and he will hold up the example of Gov. Sarah Palin as an example to follow.
My husband is crazy about her. I think her appeal is not simply her obvious, considerable beauty but that she’s so very COOL.
Obama said recently (and insipidly) that he wants to make government “cool” again. Sorry, Barry, the Governor beat you to it.
