"Abortion needs to be in our country a defining issue and we ought not be afraid to make it a defining issue because when we do that we will have an end of abortion in this country."

All this talk is nice and all, but until the US Catholic Church starts excommunicating pro-abortion politicians, it means very little.

Thank you Nancy Pelosi! The U.S. Bishops are showing real leadership.Unlike President Clinton,Obama(the most anti-life candidate of all time)will not get a majority of the Catholic vote.

The question of whether Catholics may remain in good standing with the Church while voting for pro-abortion politicians was raised. What matters is if these people are in good standing with God, not just the church. If they are pro-abortion they are living their disobedience to God.
They will be judged for it, and the church likewise will be judged if they stay silent and do nothing to warn these errant souls of the sin of condoning murder.
