This is an interesting poll Lautenberg had been ahead 51% to 33% at the beginning of August. What these numbers tell me is that Zimmer has opportunity if he has money to get his name out. I'm not a big fan of Zimmer but I think he could pull off an upset in this race if he figures out how to get his name known. He has a new ad up. Winning in New Jersey should be all about taxes but I've yet to see anyone run a race the way they need to to win. Foster bless his heart thought the way to run was as a gentleman and of course he lost. McCain is very competitive against Obama in New Jersey.

Frank is still in the Senate because the Democrats had to pay off the dead for all those years of support.

Zimmer doesn't have a chance unless Obama screws up in the first debate and this thing turns into a landslide for McCain.

If Palin can spare a couple of visits to NJ, that should be enough to knock off the dinasour Lautenberg. I know, I live here in NJ. Palin will be enough to bring in the Indepdendents (NJ is 1/3 Ind).

Lautenberg could dead, complete with maggots running through his eye sockets, and the idiots living in New Jersey would re-elect him anyway.

I'll bet more NJ voters know who DON Zimmer is.

I doubt Lautenberg will lose NJ.

He is a crook, a low life and a totally evil person. Just the way the majority of NJ voters like their politicians.

Shame that there are those who seethe with how awful it is and can do little about it at this point.

I think I will contact Zimmer’s office and see if I can stuff envelopes or something.

Good Lord, it’s Dick Zimmer again.

How many times is he going to try in a state that is HOPELESSLY DEMOCRATIC ?

They don’t care if a party has a perverted governor, a corrupt senator or an influence peddler, they’ll continue to vote Democratic.

NJ is HOPELESS.

Zimmer’s rose colored glasses theoretical upper limit is 45% of the vote.

It would require Obama’s campaign to tank, the Bergen county Democrats to implode, a blizzard in Hudson county and a national emergency terror attack plus a dozen more stars aligning for Zimmer to have a fighting chance.
