What you said describes me, except that it was my Mom who came through Ellis Island. I am one of the small percentage of native-born Americans, I am guessing, whose Mom, wife and child were all born overseas.
I am all for LEGAL immigration. I am wholly opposed to the ILLEGAL variety, because, as you said, it dishonors those who played by the rules.
Those that played by the rules and come from legal immigrants understand that for us this is also an issue of honor.
Obama does not understand honor...period.
And although McCain gives me pause on this....I know he understands honor.
