Voice command is something that I keep revisiting every so often. It works, sort of.
The problem is that as of the last time I looked at it (about six months ago), there’s a LOT of websites it doesn’t work with, especially those with a lot of Flash. You’d have to be able to use the keyboard and mouse to navigate. In addition, the very best systems require some training time and that can be *extremely* frustrating.
The major problem she had was with her pet birds being in the same room. Their squawking messed up the commands. I learned the limits of limited web capabilities when I started out on WEB TV years ago. Hours fixing a problem on a computer still didn't equal my frustration with Web-TV LOL.
I have taught a quad with fairly reasonable hand use to use a keyboard and mouse though. Her computer is on the other side of the room from mine. I did a few modifications like an optic mouse and set it's properties fairly sensitive. She can use it enough to do things like looking up her interest etc.
