A disco ball? In 1982? I was 13 YO old in 1982 and disco balls were loooooong gone by then.

I'm around the same age. Yup. Mirror balls are 70s disco. Died out with the emergence of punk/new wave. By 82 the hideous 80s styles were already blooming--parachute pants, members only jackets, designer jeans, pink Izod shirts with the collar turned up, etc. Man, I hated the 80s. Pity too, cuz that was Reagan's era, but I was too young to appreciate that. The music and style was hideous. I'm permanently stuck in the 70s.

I don’t know how old you are, but as someone who has lived well over 5 decades I can tell you the music of the 80’s(at least from 83-87) was much better than anything from 1973 on. As for style I wouldn’t give a nickel for either decade.
