Where are the threads for this hurricane this time around? It's supposed to be a cat 4 and I would appreciate information. I have done a search and can only find a prayer thread.
We’ll have to make it a short thread, we’re expected to lose power at the very least.
Some of us may even get wiped out completely!
I pinged you to it....
Good luck and please be careful

Why are you not hotfooting it north to get away from this thing?

I live on the SouthWest side of Houston, and I am staying put also, just cleaned the yard and boarded the windows, Bought alot of can food though.
Well, we live about an hour out of Houston... and while the shelves at the local Walmart are pretty much empty of all the stuff you’d expect we’re not freakin out. The schools have cancelled class and we’re all just gonna batten down the hatches and by Monday life will go on and most of us will be back at work. And afterall we’re Texans... so I don’t think you’ll hear a ton of complaining if we don’t get as much contribed sympathy thrown our way as the folks on the other side of the Sabine (lot’s of good folks over their too... if you’ve never had real Cajun food BTW stop at any number of eateries in/around Lafayette and you won’t be disappointed).
Live in the Heighta area...only place that was experiencing a mass rush ans finally closed because it was sold out was “U.P. Liquor” and I ain’t sh*tting ya on the name!

U P
WE all P
LOL!!!!
Under “U.S.: Texas” for starters...
We’ll be on FR unless the cell towers go down!
It's my land.
I'll stand on it and not flee weather.
And so did many hundreds of dead in NO. The land will still be there when you get back. Not an earthly thing Im willing to die for good luck.
History has shown that weather usually beats pride.
Get the hell out dumb ass argue with me later.
Good luck to you and yours. There’s already a few hundred evacuees from Houston here but many are determined to ride it out. I heard earlier in the week that shelters were been set up in Austin.
We’re further north but are being told to expect tornadoes and 70 mph winds Saturday. However, the clouds were already looking scary today and the air smells of rain.
Friday’s football game has been bumped up an hour for whatever good that does. Thankfully neither team has far to travel but any other week we’d be looking at at least a couple hours or so before the kids’ buses rolled in and then up to another hour to some of their homes.
How about a thread for those of us just regaining power and the ability to get on FR?
We came out ok despite losing power for a week, you ok?
