I am just returning from 2 week trip to Asia and the jet lag may be getting the best of me....however, I heard on the radio today the stark differences between McCain and Obama at ground zero marking the 7th anniversary of 911. Apparently, Obama threw his flowers into the reflecting pool and both John and Cindy McCain respectfully placed their bouquets...saw no such video on all the MSM reports tonight - any insights, links, etc., would be appreciated.
I would have loved to seen the look on 0bama’s face when Senator McCain told him that “Ground Zero” was in New York.
Bambi has no class whatsoever
Did he throw like a girl?
Based on what I saw, McCain gently laid his flower into the pool. Obama didn’t appear to be disrespectful, but he did sort of drop or gently toss his flower from waist high.
Did Obama show them where he lived while at Columbia?
Has anyone noticed the absence of Mrs. O, since convention????
McCain was accompanied by his charming wife, Cindy. Obama was accompanied by the lovely Mayor Bloomberg. Could there be ... wedding bells in the wings? And is it true that Michelle is dating Rosie? The public needs to know!
I googled around and found this photo of Obama tossing his flower into the pool:

McCain seems to be stooping down to place his carefully.
John probably couldn't throw the flower if he wanted to because of the damage done by the "peace loving" North Vietnamese.
What I did notice was that afterwards as the two were glad-handing the crowd, McCain talked to both the cops and the second liners in the crowd (and even got a pin from one cop - or maybe it was a fireman. Many of the first liners pulled McCain close and whispered something in his ear). Bambi shook hands with some very reserved first liners, and mainly shook hands with the people behind.
Very telling, though subtle.
"They laid flowers at the pit's commemorative reflecting pool - a pink rose from Obama, a yellow rose from McCain - bowed their heads and walked off to speak with fire and police personnel."
No, Obama THREW his flower.
Maybe Obambi should have organized a community ETIQUETTE class!
Worse than not respectfully placing the flower on the ground, was Obama’s rude behavior toward 3 of the 4 people who were standing in a receiving line.
While Senator McCain and his wife and the mayor was greeting the 4 people and shaking their hands, Obama spent a lot of time speaking with the first woman; he gave her a pat or a nudge on the shoulder, as if in support.
And then he completely ignored the remaining 3 people: a woman, a man in a firefighters hat/cap, and a workman in a hardhat. They were standing there, expecting to shake his hand as he walked past them, but and he made an obvious detour to avoid them. It didn’t appear to be that he even made eye contact.
It was very embarrassing to watch.
Obama hasn’t the slightest idea of proper courtesy or protocol. He is a jerk.
Thanks for the links - as always a picture paints a thousand words. The “natural” graciousness of both John and Cindy is in stark to Barack Hussein Obama. He needs to get some coaching from his left wing liberal hollywood friends. And the realness of the Mccains shaking hands, engaging the folks on the sidelines just proves the point....who do you want sitting in the oval office? Bambi is still looking for mama....which to other posters reply where is Michele - guess she decided to sit out this day in our history - since she is so proud to be an American!!!
I don’t know about that, but as they were walking down the road, Obama was sure walking like one. He appeared to be in high heels or something. It was bizarre.
Obama is also very touchy and violates personal space on a frequent basis. I knew a sociopath who did that to appear normal and become “closer” to people quicker.
First thing I noticed even before they placed the flowers was that John and Cindy McCain as well as Mayor Bloomberg each took the time to shake the hands of and talk to the initial line up of people. Obama talks only to the first person then walks behind Bloomberg not even acknowledging the others.
Yes subtle but the things I notice. Afterwards McCain looked comfortable while greeting the crowd, robustly shaking hands. Obama did indeed look a tad lost.
Yep. I posted it on her thread today.
Her negatives must be through the roof. O doesn’t even talk about her any more, and you can forget any publicity from here on out. I bet he drops a point every time she shows up.
Yes!
Did you see that!!!
Obama swaggered around, and by those people!!!
He really thinks he can crap on the little people, even at an event like this, and nobody will notice!
