The only one not ready for their close up was Gibson.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
I just tried the link and there is an issue with the server; error message. Did anyone else have that problem?
Campbell Brown of CNN made some snotty comment about Palin’s take on Georgia before she had to cut away for the presidential Forum. Campbell seems orgasmic in her bashing of Palin, and she always ends her attacks with “Well we have to ask these questions”. Where is the Rezko question Campbell? Oh by the Campbell Obama is running against John McCain. Anyway Campbell keep it up! I think the exhaust just fell off the Obama bus.
My goodness! And I thought Tom Brokaw was tough on Joe Biden! Mean spirited Charles Gibson came across as interrogating a prisoner against the state!
I thought Governor Palin kept her cool, and she gave a consistent answer to his repeated question about Pakistan borders. Good on her! Bad on Charlie!
Sarah did fine but Gibson is an elitist prick who spent the whole interview looking down his nose and patronizing her. He would never, ever have conducted himself in such a priggish manner were he interviewing a man. He had such disdain for what she was saying that it was palpable.
Sarah Palin came across as smart, courageous, sophisticated, competent, puissant, prepared, and savvy.
I did not know who Charlie Gibson was. I have not watched network television for many, many years. I have seen this man, and I have heard of Charlie Gibson, but I did not connect the two. (To tell the truth, I thought Charlie Gibson was someone else.) I had no opinion of him. He seemed nice enough. And I was completely open-minded before the interview started, actually expecting the best.
I realized, shortly after the interview began, that he was coming across as a Democrat Party partisan hack and a very ugly, nasty one. THEN--it dawned on me that he works for ABC--network news--and I was angry with myself for not anticipating this.
Sarah Palin stood her ground. She did not allow this man to bully her--though it appeared that he was trying to do so.
Sarah Palin handled herself beautifully.
Charlie Gibson did not.
Spouse and I just watched. Sarah did great, proud of her. Charlie flunked with his condescending manner. Filming was F minus. Also cut off her answers.
It seemed to me he was pressing to get the answers he wanted. The answers that would make the best sound bites for tomorrow. It was like he was trying to corner her into making a mistake.
Governor Palin was brilliant. She put country first, and the things she said reflect an intense intellect.
I thought she was powerful and fantastic....spot on!
She's a toughie!..(in a nice way)
The first thing I saw about this was this ABC guy half-quoting Gov. Palin and lying when he called her on it. Why would anyone watch any more of this after that? What can anyone expect to learn when the interviewer is a liar?
Is this the form in which this interview is to be aired? Seems like they edited out most of her response and Gibson was interrogating her... I hope this is edited by a left wing blog or something.

You will have to put up with the prerequisite advertisement.
I thought she came off well. I thought Charlie came off terrible. It seemed like he was rifling off questions and not really listening to the answers. I do not remember Charlie Gibson showing such bias before.
The RNC needs to learn how to answer these continual attack talking points of the left.
When Gibson was hammering her about what does energy independence have to do with national security, Palin needed to say:
“CONGRESSES INACTION AND DELIBERATE CLOSING DOWN OF THE U.S. DEVELOPING ITS OWN RESOURCES HAS ALLOWED AMERICA’S ENEMIES TO BLACKMAIL US. AND YES CHARLIE, THAT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH NATIONAL SECURITY!”
And after the badgering regarding crossing over the border in Pakistan to deal with terrorists, Sarah needed to personalize it (that’s the only way a liberal ever gets it):
“Charlie, if someone who attacked you and then promised to kill you, your wife, and children, moved into your neighbors garage, you have some choices. You can go over to your neighbor and ask them to evict the lowlifes in their garage, but if your neighbor refuses, you go over there and deal with it yourself WITH OR WITHOUT YOUR NEIGHBOR’S PERMISSION! Of course, Charlie, there is the option of doing nothing and standing by while the thugs kill the people you love, but that’s not what John McCain and I are all about.”
Not respectful of sitting Gov. at all. Perhaps gender is not the only issue. Methinks Charlie felt a smidge uncomfortable around a powerful woman young enough to be his daughter.
