My daughter just started High School, and one of the graduation requirements in the district is “100 hours of community service”.

I told her that “community service” is what entrepreneurs provide: giving people what they want or need at a price they can afford. And there’s nothing at all wrong with that.

My sister lives in Lower Manhattan, and witnessed the towers fall from her rooftop. My Stepmother was on a plane which took off from Logan on the morning of 9/11/01. Her flight was redirected to Canada, where she spent a couple of days before returning home. The time which passed before I had heard from both of them was an eternity. But my family and I were lucky. I don't feel that tonight is appropriate for a de facto debate. Tonight we should pause, pray, and reflect. This is in poor taste.
