Just less than seven years ago it would have been impossible to predict that the horrific events of September 11, 2001 would be as forgotten as they now seem today. In those heady days of national unity that marked the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on America, we made a communal pledge that we would never forget the victims or the lessons of that fateful day. There is little doubt that we have long ago betrayed that promise.
There is no more dramatic example of this distressing reality than what has happened to the one major film that attempted to answer a very simple and yet extremely complex question: How was that day allowed to happen?
In 2006, exactly five years after the attacks, ABC attempted to broadcast "The Path to 9/11." The extraordinary mini-series was a $40 million, five-hour-plus production that aired, commercial-free, over two nights, in prime time.
However, prior to broadcast, Bill Clinton and members of his former administration went ballistic after discovering that one scene in the film dealt with the many opportunities during his presidency to kill or capture Usama bin Laden. A two-week firestorm erupted and the film had several key scenes edited out of the completed and legally vetted version before finally airing with numerous disclaimers.
Since then, the film which was originally intended to run each year around 9/11, has not been broadcast again and the DVD has never been released. While it has been reported that this decision was made over concerns about disrupting Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, Robert Iger, the head of Disney (the parent company of ABC) declared at this year's shareholder meeting that it was "simply a business decision" to not put out the DVD. He made this odd declaration despite the fact that DVD distribution would have...

Just another example of the destructive power of multiculturalism.
Another one will be out shortly.. “Blocking the Path to 9/11”
Buy yourself a copy of United 93, a well played documentary of the flight that went down in PA. We have watched it 4 times, including the first at a theatre—it had very limited release and minimal advertising and so most people never saw it. There are no hollywood stars, but in fact, several “real people” playing parts consistent with their real world jobs.
wasn’t this also around the time that Sandy Berger burglarized the National Archives and stole the official records?
There has to be SOME way to get an unedited copy of this movie... Might cost somebody their job, but there is bound to be a copy of the original in the ABC archives... and maybe elsewhere.
I will forever think of him as Sandy Burglar
bootleg copy on bit torrent? Maybe?
I’m glad I recorded it when it was on.
I think so. However, I believe the crime was committed more closely to and in conjunction with the 9/11 Hearings.
Downloading Parts 1 and 2 now on Bit Torrent....let you know how it goes....
What version? The one from TV?

Thanks for the ping!
I now know why the Democrats and the Clintons have banned it.
With the clear resolve of Sen John McCain for our security and "No Blink" Gov Sarah Palin on the team contrasted against the wimpy approach Barry has taken to those who hate us - sitting down with our enemies - and Joe Biden's ever-errant mouth and defective mind, it would be a landslide victory for the Republicans upon viewing this movie.
I feel physically ill after watching it, thinking about the possibility of a Democrat win in November.
Not only remembering the heroism, but irresponsible and criminal acts of those like Jamie Gorelick and Sandy Burglar makes me proud, sad, mad, and nauseated all at once.
There is NOTHING....NOTHING presidential about Barry. I could not contemplate Barry making decisions (with Joe) if we were attacked again under their watch.
