No joke! I found myself screaming at the TV— “What?! She said more!”
Gibson defintely distorted her comments. She corrected him once, and launched into a good defense of her comments. When he persisted and distorted her comments again, she answered well in general terms.
All in all, very well played. You correct him once, but not twice. You don’t want to appear weak and whiny, but you can’t let him walk all over you.

The do not get it. Sarah Palin registers with the voters on a very direct level that bypasses all of their liberal slant and BS. Much as Reagan did over 25 years ago.
The more they try to malign that, the more they try and convince the voter that this is not so, the more the people will be drawn to her.
She is their worst nightmare and they are only enhancing the effect she is already going to have.
So let them keep at it.
‘pinky ring’ Gibson is refreshing his bias cred in Alaska. This is not new, he’s always been like Couric, Williams, etc. I’m not surprised at all at ‘pinky ring’ shennanigans.
I wish Obama and Rev, Wright , issue I would have had a conversation like that. In the end real Americans relate to Sarah than Charlie.

I knew Gibson would make me mad, but I watched anyway...I am so sick of this “can you look America in the eye and tell them you are ready to lead” question. To my knowledge, no one has bothered to ask Obama that and he is running for PRESIDENT! Furthermore, Gibson completely twisted her words on several questions. All things considered though, I think she did well. Go Sarah!

He’s speaking in terms of she won’t have anyone to consult with if she is thrust into that job.
Every VP has had that possibility hanging over their head and nobody is totally prepared to step in and take over in an instant - they have to rely on adjunct staff who oversee the Presidency to guide them into catching current information.
Looking at the pictures today of George Bush sitting in that little schoolroom when he was informed of the terrorist attack on 9/11 - was he prepared??? Of course not.
If the President went looking for threats every day, he/she could not run a nation.
I guess ABC is still out to get the Republicans - we should have known it was going to be an attack - even if softer than most of the other ones she has had to put up with.
To me it looked like gov. Palin OWNER Charlie...He was trying to fluster her and she calmly corrected him. I really like her part about her son serving in the military as well. I think ABC would have led with their best ‘gotcha’ momnet on tape thus far, in order to drive more viewers to nightline. If this is the best they have, then the McCain campaign has completely sandbagged the MSM. The narrative of ditzy, religous zealot, ‘moose shooter’ that they are trying to put out is blwoing up. She came off as the adult, and Charlie the whiny kid trying to trap her. Score thus far Palin 1 Gibson/MSM 0.
Did you notice the way he was talking to her? The way he was looking at her? His posture? His movements?
He was like a dad talking to his teenage daughter about the dangers of driving. All-Business-And-I-Know-More-Than-You-Do.
That interview really got me steamed.
