First on TVNewser: Insiders tell us the first Charlie Gibson/Sarah Palin interview is complete. The first sit-down lasted 30 minutes and included questions about energy independence, foreign affairs and whether Gov. Palin is ready to be Vice President. "Absolutely," is her response. When asked if she is ready to step in and be president of the United States. Palin answers, "You bet."
We're told Gibson asked for two extra minutes and used it to ask Palin whether she agrees with the "Bush Doctrine." Among Palin's responses:
• "The top priority is to defend the United States of America. I know that John McCain would do that."
• "With new leadership comes opportunity to do things better."
• "War has got to be a last option."
• "If a strike is imminent we have every right to defend our country...and that's what a McCain/Palin administration would do."
• "In order to stop Islamic extremists we must do whatever it takes. We must not blink, Charlie."
SARAH ON PUTIN, AHMADINEJAD, GEORGIA, RUSSIA, CHINA..... OUR COMMITMENT IN ISRAEL.... GIBSON TRYING TO ‘TRICK’ HER WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT SHE’S BEEN OUTISDE THE COUNTRY OR MET FOREIGN LEADERS....

They are fools and will be shown as such once the entire interview airs. Based on what I’ve seen so far, this is going to be another huge win for Palin (and McCain).

Her only stumble was the apparent lack of knowledge about the Bush Doctrine. Gibson made it a gotcha moment. If he were playing fair, he would have described it first instead of later.
I just watched the first segment....and thank God, Gibson will piss off more people than Palin ever could.
I agree. Let’s face it, anybody posting this stuff on the internet is a political junkie. The fact that they are so freaked out right now that they feel thay have to spam abcnews means she did good.

Gibson prefaced the question if Georgia was a member of NATO and yes under Article 5 of the NATO charter an attack against one is an attack against all.
That’s another thing about this four-flusher! How and why is he considered sophisticated? I’ve seen nothing to indicate this in him, only the fawning media labeling him as such. I’ll bet he can’t discriminate between Snoop Dog and Yo Yo Ma. And Michelle? Why there’s sophistication on the hoof!
The editing cut up Sarah and Charlie’s interaction to cut off Charlie and jump to Sarah and vice versa. It did not make for a very professionally done video. It actually made Charlie look like he was constantly attacking.
I bet if Charlie was interviewing Obama there would be laughing with Charlie interjecting the word “yes” to Obama’s responses; showing Charlie to relate to Obama as he spoke to him.
I think most people watching the interview can tell there was really bad editing and no ebb and flow to the questions/responses.
I liked how Sarah challenged Charlie to be more descriptive.

Sarah should have sarcastically said “No, Charlie.. if Georgia is a member of NATO and is invaded then we should just ignore our responsibility to them through NATO.”
I want Sarah as my president....someday. Until then I am confident in what we have...AMEN!...( stick THAT where the sun dont shine Libs)
