There is a disturbing phenomenon creeping into the public debate about all things 9/11. Increasingly, Sept. 11 is compared to hurricanes, bridge collapses and other mechanical disasters or criminal acts that result in loss of life, with "body count" being the primary factor that keeps it in the top spot of "worst in the nation's history."
Misremembering is as dangerous as forgetting. If we must know one thing, it is that the Sept. 11 attacks were neither a natural disaster, nor the unfortunate result of human error. 9/11 wasn't the catastrophic equivalent of a 3,000-car pileup.

Good point! The downplaying of 9/11 is not by accident. I suspect the MSM showed the Abu Garhib (sp?) photos fare more than they did the footage of 9/11.
fare = far
It was the worst attack on American soil ever and must be remembered that way. And we must also remember that only through the steadfastness of Pres. Bush have we been safe here at home for the last seven years.
Whatever your politics, if you murder 3000 unarmed civilians in their own sovereign country and in an undeclared and unprovoked ‘WAR’ - you don’t walk away smelling like a rose. Liberals have somehow made heroes out of the genetic debris who committed this crime.
This includes any and ALL TERRORISTS who would do damage to our country and our way of life,,,,,
and this includes TERRORISTS,,,
like Bill Ayers and his terrorist wife!!!
“”Each 9/11 all TV news agencies should be required to show a montage of what happened that day. We must never forget!””
Perhaps you don’t have cable but MSNBC runs the actual original programming from that day. I believe they do it each year. It does make us relive the events of that day and where we were when it took place. I lived on the West Coast at the time and turned the TV on while I was getting ready for work. What I saw first was the smoke and coverage from the Pentagon..that was hard enough to digest and then the WTC pictures came on. You are absolutely correct - don’t let anyone forget!
There was special mention of the Heroes of Flight 93 at our ceremony today. May they Rest In Peace and may our prayers comfort their loved ones, and that goes for all those who perished that day (except for the perpetrators of that cowardly act).
