Hubby reminded me this morning of when he went to work on 9/11/01, and as he was entering the parking lot in the building where his unit is housed, he heard about the attacks in NYC. An hour later, the Pentagon was attacked and he and his colleagues went to Arlington to help out.

He remembers the distinct jet fuel smell and seeing a piece of AA fuselage, as well as 2 airplane tires strewn about. He was up close, because as a law enforcement official, he had access to that area.

He still cannot believe or comprehend these people (nutjobs) who think that 9/11 was an “inside job” and that the Pentagon attack was done by a ‘drone’ airplane.

Unreal.

Clint Jr was still in his elementary school on Capitol Hill after we moved to Bethesda.

My Suburban never went so fast down the Clara Barton to go pick him up. I'll never forget that drive.
