Lets start with the obvious and inarguable: Of course Sen. Barack Obamas comment about lipstick on a pig was a reference to Supergirl Sarah Palin.
You know it, I know it and the partisan crowd that literally rose to their feet and cheered when they heard it know it.
And its nothing new. Democrats shot the lipstick line at Gov. Palin on their official Web site last week with a posting entitled McCains Selection of Palin is Lipstick on a Pig - accompanied by what Im sure was intended to be a flattering photo of the Alaska outdoorswoman.
And - coincidence or something more? - the same day Obama made his crack, a Democratic congressman introducing Joe Biden said of Sarah Palin, Theres no way you can dress up her record, even with a lot of lipstick.
If there was anyone in the audience still too dense to get it - say, an employee of CNN, perhaps - Obama immediately followed up with a reference to the McCain/Palin campaign wrapping an old fish in a piece of paper called change.
A lipstick-wearing pig and an old fish? Gee, who could he possibly be talking about?
So please, my Obama-supporting friends, lets stop the nonsense about how Obamas lipstick talk was, as he put it yesterday, an innocent comment, or that the reaction is phony outrage.
You want phony outrage? Flashback to Hillary Clintons 3 a.m. ad. Remember it? The helpless children asleep in bed, the insistent ringing phone, etc., etc. And some Obama supporters immediately cried racism because, they claimed, the ad played on white fears of black home invaders.
Or, even more laughable, that the first three letters of the word night in the kids Goodnight Moon pajamas were highlighted for nefarious purposes.
Now that was phony...

Seems more a typical case of Obama caving to his own instincts for 'street talk/tactics'.
No, she's not
I had misspelled the word "Great", writing instead "Greta". This was not related to Greta Van Susteren.
You forgot back seat limo fag.

So, he’s making sneak attacks and lying about it. He not only fights like a girl, he acts like al Qaeda! Could he have learned both in class in Indonesia, or did he pick some of that up on his months long stay in Pakistan as a college student? A bad thought to have on Sept 11.
The lipstick line along with the fish line right after it, as her nickname is Barracuda and, no doubt, it was about Palin. Obama doesn’t deserve any respect whatsoever.
Excellent point!
The people who claim that Obama was just repeating an old familiar line ignore the CONTEXT in which he made the statement. And that was that Palin had just said the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull is the pitbull wears no LIPSTICK. Of course the media think we’re too stupid to grasp what was obviously meant.
Maybe the media will pick this up?
I will start a little rumor here. I heard that 0-bama challenged Gov. Palin to an arm wrestling match. Then I heard that Todd Palin stepped up and said he would handle any a$$ whooping that needed to be delivered. And then Levi said he wanted a piece of the action. Then Sarah said she could handle 0-bama herself. And so she did.
Now, maybe Obama didn't know and his protestations aren't contrived, which raises the question "who is the man behind the curtain?"
Sad that the Dems introduce such sleeze; but what else to the 'rats' do? Have to say; the majority of their followers identify with it; and celebrate it.
His mouth is writing checks his body can’t cash. LOL
Greta = Great

Ah say, ah say ... it was a joke son ..
Oh they get it and everyone who watches them gets it ... what the few at FNC are doing is to refuse uttering the obvious ... zero meant his statement just as he choreographed it with the pause and hand to his forehead and just as we heard it... Fox is trying to be diplomatic or 'fair and balanced' as they like to say. They think we are idiots!
If zero did not intend to use the lipstick comment as a dig at the McCain/Palin ticket then he could just as easly used the age old adage "You can't change the stripes on a tiger"! Or even better "You can take the boy out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of the boy"!
I'm one of them, but that was when all I had seen was the video of BO making the statement (while rubbing his forehead like Johnny Carson's "The Magnificent Karnak"). I heard it like a grammarian...subject...verb...reference, thinking that it was misconstrued by his audience.
Now that I know the background that led up to his statement, I agree with those who say it was intentional. When I viewed the video again, I wondered if the head rubbing body language was indicative of his trying to recall the exact words in the cartoon balloon that he was plagiarizing.
