I don't like the term swift-skirting. The Swiftboats weren't lying. The left is as well as being downright mean with attacks on Trig and Sarah's family.

When can we expect the palinodes for these smears against Palin?
To: Maelstorm
The Lies Against Sarah are piling up.
Now, they are saying that as Gov. Palin kept the 300 million dollars that was given to her state by Congress for the Bridge to Nowhere.
To: Maelstorm
Glad you are doing this. Hopefully you’ll keep it up as it gives me a central place to go for answers to slurs. Thanks.

I don’t like the term either.
Besides, what the media is really doing is more akin to rape.
Rape of a person’s name and character.
I think I’ll start using that.
“The media’s rape of Sarah Palin.”

Uhm...she did keep the money.

“Just a Christian” as well as a Pentecostal are compatible. I do not believe Sarah left the Pentecostal Church for any particular reason. She did not renounce the Pentecostal Church. Forgive me but your bit on her Church, did not make that clear. It kind of made it sound like she was distancing herself from the Pentecostal Church, I do not believe that was the case at all.

Lie- Palin is hiding her real religion from the public. She claims to be just a Christian, but is really a Pentecostal.
Truth- Palin left the Pentecostal Church she belonged to in Alaska 6 years ago.
This seems to imply that 1) Pentacostals are not regular Christians and 2) that being a Pentacostal is bad. Can anybody explain to me why calling Palin a Pentacostal would be a slur, or a "gotcha"?

The volume of crap that is being dumped onto the scene by the garbage collectors of the Left, and the Leftist MSM should be construed by us all as proof that the Left is fearful of these two “Mavericks”, McCain and Palin should they succeed in their campaign for the Presidency/Vice Presidency.
The Left has incrementally built a government within our government. Bureaucracies are laden with Leftist sycophants. They fear the loss of POWER they have achieved over the many years. It would only take a few actions of a Conservative Congress with a Conservative President with the desire to get the job done to overcome.
The fear of becoming irrelevant is what is driving this feeding frenzy of the Left’s against Sarah Palin. They don’t fear John McCain, they fear the team.

Uhm...she did keep the money. Lets be a little more precise here.
She kept the money for the State of Alaska, she didn't personally keep the $300 million.

Palin? Skirt?
You've just got the attention of every straight male in the blogosphere.
Cheers!

More precisely, there was a ton of money allocated by Congress for Alaska. Within that total there were a number of items “earmarked” for particular purposes, including the BTNW. She got the BTNW canceled, and spent the money that would have otherwise gone to it on other more worthy projects.

I don’t like it either. The Swift boaters told the truth by first person testimony of people in the same type of unit as Kerry at the same time in Vietnam. The anti Palin slugs are bloggers and reporters with a political motivation only.
To: Maelstorm
I think the whole argument about the Pentecostal church reference was more on what her particular pastor was preaching than about being Pentecostal. The questions were about her first pastor preaching that Alaska would be a sanctuary for Christians after the US was destroyed. There were also some questions about whether she had ever been “slain” in the Spirit.

Let’s be even more precise.
She kept the money that was given to the State during Murkowski’s term, and was allocated by the Congress in session before she was even governor.
It was actually the previous year’s Federal and State budgets that had the money exchange, not her first year.

I’ll chime in in agreement, it’s the wrong description. What they are trying to do to her is Bork her. That is telling lies to scare others so her true story is ignored. It worked with Robert Bork and perfected with others, such as John Bolton.
One reason why the national leadership of the Democrat party is utterly corrupt.

The Obama supporters are working on a volume of scat theory. I have never seen libs throw out so many different smears in so short a period. Palin clearly worries them.
It is different from the Clintons in that they presented a more coherent attack. I am hoping the frantic nature of the attacks on Palin will be seen as the panic it is.
