Hugs....Tears and hugs.
Odd things go through your head. I hated not having my radio, being out of the loop. I was in the shadow of it all and totally in the dark until it was "over". Many others were worse off than I was, so I couldn't complain. But it was a surreal walk to say the least.
I did look up the woman who loaned me her earbud in the phone book. I made sure she got home (and promised her that she wouldn't hear from me again).
