Weve been watching the media feeding frenzy since Republican nominee John McCain named little known Alaska Governor Sarah Palin his VP running mate.
Weve noticed that as media outlets far and wide have jumped into the Who is Sarah Palin? business and began the process of looking into her background, her public life and everything else about her under the sun. So far, theres been nothing much of the order of explosive revelations.
Nonetheless, a few serious stories about Palins tenure as Alaskas first female Governor have made it onto the national media radar screen. A story about her possible influence and pressure in removing a police commissioner who refused to fire a former brother-in-law has gotten a lot of national media attention.
Here at ERSNews, weve always digging for stories too and we found the Alaskan court record related to Sarah Palin and her family rather amusing and A-typical. We also found that so far nobody else in the media has bothered to report about it.
What struck us was the normality of the legal run-ins with the law that Palin, her husband and the rest of her family have had in Alaska. Whatever happened elsewhere and before Palin settled down in Alaska we dont know about, because were still looking into that! But if the familys legal history in Alaska is any indication, they seem like the typical American family to us!
Court records reviewed by ERS show the Palins, Sarah, first dude Todd and her children (along with soon-to-be new family member Levi Johnston (fiancée of daughter Bristol) all have pretty typical run-ins with the law over the years. Only Sarahs husband Todd, who previously admitted to having a DUI two decades ago, is the only one with any kind of serious legal problems in his past.
The rest run the gamut from speeding tickets, to Todd illegally riding an ATV in a national game refuge, to Sarah herself driving around Wasilla with illegally tinted windows and running a red light -- and of course the really serious offense (by Alaskan standards) of Levi failing to release a fish! Nearly everybody in the family seems to have gotten into the act at some point. The little kids Piper, Willow and infant Trig all have clean records as far as we can tell!
Heres the lowdown on the Palin family, according to Alaska Court records reviewed by The Enterprise Report. To see the details of each case just point your browser here and have fun reading the details:

Sure wouldn’t want to be paying Bristol’s insurance!
appears that Bristol is not a very good driver. LOL.
This must be the future trend in politics.
Somebody is gonna get hurt sticking their nose around Alaska.
Lefty blogs allege that Track was arrested for vandalizing a school bus, but it isn’t public because he was a juvenile.
Bill Clinton’s response: The Palin’s are rank amateurs compared to my family when it comes to crime
“appears that Bristol is not a very good driver.”
It’s actually only TWO TICKETS, each repeated.
WOW! Sarah Got a SPEEDING TICKET in 1993!
STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!!!
The rest were filed in her capacity as GOVERNOR.
“Levi was busted twice for possession!”
...of FISH...
There’s gotta be something there... Notice that everytime they get a traffic ticket issue, it’s assigned to the same judge? How could it be. There’s something there... Gotta be ya know. Politicians forever using their position to curry favor... There’s probably payoffs... /sarc (did I really need the /sarc tag??? Can’t be too careful these days...
i should have compared the case numbers. i had 2 tickets within 2months of getting my drivers license. LOL.
