George Bush is Gary Cooper in the classic western "High Noon." The sheriff is about to leave office when a marauding gang is coming to town. He could leave, but he waits to face the killers as all his friends and all the townspeople, who supported him during his years of keeping them safe, slowly abandon him. In the end, he walks alone to meet the killers, because someone has to.

There wasn't a major al-Qaida attack in 2003. Nor in 2004, 2005, 2006 or 2007. Manifestly, liberals thought there would be: They announced a standard of success that they expected Bush to fail.
As Bush has said, we have to be right 100 percent of the time, the terrorists only have to be right one time. Bush has been right 100 percent of the time for seven years -- so much so that Americans have completely forgotten about the threat of Islamic terrorism.
.
Excellent. Nobody can beat Ann Coulter...
Excellent. Everytime I get angry at Bush for his tepid domestic policies, I force myself to remember what a great leader he is on defense, foreign policy and anti-terrorism.
I thought it was Mussolini that made the trains run on time.
a must read...just for the ending alone
"Coincidentally, [my wife] and I were in Miami last week, and ended up striking a conversation with an older Cuban couple in the next table. When it emerged that they came from Cuba in 1960, I said: "Right after Fidel." The guy did not miss a beat before responding: "Yes, we know what "change' looks like."

That would be, from www.teachwithmovies.org:
Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly, and the allusion to “High Noon”.
What a beautiful comparison.
Ann Coulter? Isn’t she the one who was complaining loudly about the selection of John Roberts to the Supreme Court?
ANN COULTER’S FANTASTIC TRIBUTE TO OUR MOST FANTASTIC PRESIDENT, PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH!!!
MAY WE PRAY THAT GOD BLESS OUR GREAT PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH AND OUR GREAT COUNTRY!!
May WE pray to GOD asking his Supreme Forgiveness of Our Countries’ Greatest Enemies, It’s DEMORATS within and Their Traitorous and Evil Behaviors and Actions!
OK, there is one, but she's not in Washington yet. Appropriately, at the end of "High Noon," Cooper is surrounded by the last two highwaymen when, suddenly, his wife (Grace Kelly) appears out of nowhere and blows away one of the killers! The aging sheriff is saved by a beautiful, gun-toting woman.
Excellent.
Thanks for posting another masterpiece by Ann Coulter.
Why there hasn’t been another major terrorist attack:
1. GITMO. The cream of the AQ operational army was rounded up and stuck in GITMO and held there as long as possible. What would all those guys have gone on to do if they’d been released in 2002 or 2003? Take makrame classes at their local community colleges?
2. Patriot Act. It’s impossible to say what this act prevented but it would be foolish to say it prevented nothing. By virtue of its publicity alone, if nothing else, it slowed the terrorists down. Like a sign on a window: Protected by ADC Security. Who knows if its true or not. But let’s move on to another house.
3. Iraq War. This is the big one. Iraq WAS flypaper for terrorists. And it worked. And the reason it’s quieter there now is a lot of the flies that flocked there are now dead. Dead. Dead. Dead.
Thank you, President Bush.
If I'm not mistaken, a category 5 hurricane did hit the United States just recently, but SHE made landfall in St. Paul, MN.
I don't think you will find an amused liberal extant.
LOL!

That's Bush. Name one other person in Washington who would be willing to stand alone if he had to, because someone had to.

Sarah Palin - and Ann Coulter! - to the rescue!
