I agree, it is more than a bounce, it is a shift.
Bounce? This is a full court dribble!
great post!
The McCain campaign needs to go directly after Obama’s pretense to being a reformer. Highlight all the points in his career when he could have opposed the Daley/Cook County political machine, and supported it instead. Obama is a get along to go along machine politician who’s a phony reformer, a phony patriot and a phony Christian. Expose, expose, expose and don’t let up.
My first vote was for Reagan and I have not seen anything like the intensity of voters for Palin.
Do you really think it’s a shift and not a bounce?
I hope so.
I wonder why Rasmussen has them so close still.
David Bonior, the former Michigan congressman who managed Democrat John Edwards' unsuccessful presidential bid, called the new poll findings a "real concern," adding: "We can't lose white women and expect to do well in this race."
That's spelled G-E-N-D-E-R G-A-P, Baby! Get used to it! (laughing)

Obama’s calling Palin a pig and Biden’s telling some poor guy in a wheelchair to stand up for himself ain’t helping those numbers any.
Try “surge” instead of “bounce.” A bounce, by definition, comes back down.
“I wonder why Rasmussen has them so close still.”
They have their head up their a@@ ?
We (Republicans) are on the offensive now and we must stay that way. As long as we can keep the Dems on the defense, we can score points with the American People, showing the Dems up for what they really are.
I tend to agree. What happened at the convention was a rebranding. The voters apparently like the new brand. That's different that the typical convention where the voters hear good things about someone for a few days and then forget.
Well' see.
A Hollywood lib friend of mine, with whom I enjoy spirited political discussions, has lost her marbles over the whole Palin Surge Syndrome. The friend now fears for the future of our country, which she likens to “Germany in 1937.”
Fascinating.
Exactly right. We must keep them on the defensive. And get out the vote.
I think the wheelchair can be forgiven. The pig comment? No way.
“Get out the vote” is the major theme now that we have Palin. We must, each of us, encourage each and every person we know or meet to vote!
